Which reminds me I once had a Lesco cafe racer with zippers in the side seams at the back. They could be opened to allow easier sitting. Here’s one on eBay - check the last pic

There was a post on here a few years ago explaining how a member stretched an A2 body by wetting the leather, stuffing it with cushions and waiting until it dried. He didn’t say if he broke stitches or ripped linings. I read it and tried to lengthen the sleeves on my Eastman M422a. The sleeves...
The leather sprays you mention may be just alcohol and water as that’s an old cobblers trick for shoe stretching. I’ve used cheap tequila mixed with water to Stretch shoes wider. As mentioned elsewhere in this thread lining and stitching won’t stretch as much as leather so you risk breaking...
I’m having to sell a few surplus coats and jackets to clear my garage prior to repurposing it into a wet room/spare bedroom for when I’m too old to climb the stairs . U.K. postage only sorry.
Credit to Peacoat for his thread which helped me to hunt down and identify it in the first place...
Yep you’re correct - that’s just what I said - working with Aero is the best course of action.
I went on to say that if self repair was the only option etc. Eg with vintage jackets.
Incidentally brass zipper teeth can take it but aluminium ones are brittle and can’t. I’ve transplanted brass...
A slipped tooth was my first thought too - perhaps as a consequence of not having fully engaged the male side of the zipper before pulling the slider up so needing extra force to open it. Hookless zippers look great and are fine when operated carefully but are susceptible to damage if not...

Agreed the labels look as if they’ve been transplanted ie have been hand sewn in using a ‘back stitch’ either it’s here to test our gullibility or it’s someone’s idea of making lots of profit on a mall jacket.
There’s an old saying
“I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand”.
Monitor - get out a cloth tape measure, and measure your chest and a few of your favourite fit jackets.
I loved mine but it was shorter and closer fitting than my other Aero jackets, in keeping with the original Levi archive jacket’s design (nb it was made for me by Julie Leitch at Aero who had my measurements). I wore it with high rise Wrangler 13MWZ Jeans, but last year passed it on to my son in...
So probably
‘Genuine Leather’
‘Fashion World’
Thank you for the contributions I knew it wasn’t anything special and didn’t buy it but the long half belt style with cinch buckles on a (possibly) UK made jacket intrigued me.
It was inside a long half- belt with cinch straps in a charity shop in West Bridgford Nottingham U.K.
The zippers were all YKK of the type shown above and fastened on the UK/Europe side (sadly not Talon). Any ideas as to the name on the label?
