Undoubtedly. That goes without saying. No one would pay for insurance if you could make a claim without it.

Aero Fontana CR Black steer CXL v. 1.0

What does the neck hole measure, out of curiosity?

Aero Fontana CR Black steer CXL v. 1.0

I was going to ask almost the same question- didn't it start life with a 27" back and 27" sleeves? It looks a little short for you, I'm afraid, but not very short. The neck looks too tight by the way? Appears to be digging in at the back of the neck and as if it would choke you in the front if...

Only if you can prove the value of the goods inside with receipts, of course.

I just looked, and unfortunately, MyHermes insurance limit is only £300. (At least from my address on the outskirts of London.) They're also a horrendous company from my past experience  Edit: As per your suggestion I also looked into using DPD. They charge nearly £50 to deliver an...

Thanks. Have you personally used either for a jacket?

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Wow, that has aged incredibly well!

Hi guys im new here had a question about my new schott perfecto 618

Schott have endlessly readjusted the handwarmer pockets on their Perfecto. The angles and the positioning absolutely haven't been set in stone since the development of the jacket in the late 1920's. There is a webpage I stumbled across recently that gives a decade by decade breakdown of the...

Perfecto Style Moto Jacket for Ladies (need suggestions & advice!)

I'd pick Schott over Lewis Leathers if you're looking for a Perfecto style jacket, as I think their Perfecto absolutely nailed it, and it's comfortable to wear. (Plus, I'm not a fan of LL defacing their jackets with their logo.) As for how well the mens Schott jackets potentially fit a lady, I...

    Chinese leather jackets

I'd assume overwhelmingly mall jackets, but a lot of men in particular seem to wear thick leather when riding the ubiquitous e-bikes.

    Chinese leather jackets

Leather jackets seemed hugely popular in Changsha and Changzhou, and when it was cooler they appeared in Guangzhou too.

    Chinese leather jackets

There surely must be a bunch of high end makers in China- I remember being struck by how everyone was wearing a leather (or imitation leather) jacket there, on one of my first evenings living there.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

What makes you think that? I can and I'm not in China. So long as you have a Chinese bank card it's not a problem (I've never tried with a non-Chinese card, so can't confirm that either way). Edit: I'd ask if they ship abroad before purchasing, of course, and at what cost.

I think if foreign parcels end up in Britain, and aren't entering the Royal Mail system, when dealing with customs the delivery firm get to set their own admin fee. Doesn't one of them charge over £30 for that service? A standard unregulated scam. Pathetic that the system is set up like it is...

    Post Brexit import experiences

Posting a leather jacket (insured) around the UK is also more expensive than you'd think it should be- a round trip would be nearly £60 using Royal Mail, and I can't see any cheaper alternatives? Anyone got any clever suggestions?

That would make sense, but then again, tax laws often make no sense. By the way, it seems hit and miss whether UK customs will charge imports or not lately. I play a sport called padel (Spanish tennis) and my friends often shop from a Spanish store. All orders should attract fees as the value...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I visited the leather district in Guangzhou a few years ago while I was living there, and was impressed by the quality of (the higher end) goods, including perfect replicas of high end handbags. Because so much of the industry centres around high end fakes intended to be passed off as the real...

Haha, what did you order this time?

What happened to the leather here and what can I do about it?

It looks like coating has come away, perhaps due to exposure to a solvent or heat? It's hard to tell from the photos what exactly we're looking at.

The Flat Head vs The Real McCoy's: which jacket to choose?

Getting upset with a whole forum because one person doesn't want to sell something to you? Bit of an overreaction! I didn't like the bit where he quoted how much he earns, to point out how valuable his time is, ignoring how everyone in this thread used their precious time to offer free advice to...
