I tried a couple of these. Quite nice fabric, but not the most shapely. I bought them in Asia which probably explains why they’re designed for a short torso with no taper.
I tried this band a few years ago- nice and thick but rough and cheap feeling. Wore them in the gym. Bought another...
Part of me is happy with acceptable quality plain Superdry t shirts which cost about $15-20. But if I can find a tapered, heavyweight, super soft t shirt (akin to the shirts I used to buy), I’ll happily spend $90-100. And honestly, my t shirts that have survived 10+ years the most impressively...
Ten years ago it was still possible to buy thick, durable, classic looking t-shirts on the high street, but fast fashion seems to have replaced those with thin and feeble replicas (admittedly at low prices). Even the likes of Abercrombie made bullet proof ‘premium’ t shirts back then. Now we...
The jumper sounds like something I want and need... really could have done with it this past winter as it was pretty brutal after 8/9 winters living in South East Asia! I’m visiting home (England) in July, so might see if I can pick one up.
Like you, I’d also go for a more fitted look, as even...
Looks fantastic! Pleased to see it fits you well, in addition to being a very cool jacket.
Any pics of the fit from the back and side? I’m curious as the back is my favourite part of the design. Cheers
I definitely want one of their jumpers now... but gotta say that’s one of the worst websites I’ve seen in the past twenty years! It’s the sort of thing I made for myself in the 1990’s when I was a teenager working out how to build a website from scratch without using something like Dreamweaver...
I agree that it is worth advertising as an individual jacket- to me it is the most attractive MC jacket that Aero make.
Would be nice if there is some way of tucking the throat latch behind the collar lapel, ala Ton's Bootleggers, when the snap is fastened. Don't know if that's possible...
I'm happy to say that looks much better. Very nice. The photos also look benefit from the absence of the scarf/cravat that featured in the older photos. The photos of the hybrid jacket are also complimented by the stone/brick background- I think that works well.
Out of interest- how easy would...
The reduced boxiness is one of the things I prefer about the ba***rd jacket. But still, Aero didn't need to make the main back panel as narrow as they did- great they did, regardless of the reason why. :)
I know you said it's a King of the Road back, but your jacket's back looks more refined. The main panel isn't as wide on yours and there is clearly a considerably bigger gap between that panel and the shoulder seams/side seam. That improves the shape for sure. The kidney panel is also a fair...
Better yet, ask for the shoulder measurement too and double check the chest. I’m personally not a fan of the back of that jacket, with the somewhat baffling gussets and that double leather kidney panel. My preference is for the J-100 style back (that Aero regularly replicate).
Doesn't body shape best determine the comparative suitability of the Aero Cafe Racer vs Board Racer? E.g. Cafe Racer for those with a V shaped torso, and Board Racer for those with a more tubular shape. They can be customised to look very similar to one another.
What a crock of shit. Incredibly disappointing from eBay. I don’t know the finer points of how such a thing might work, but I’d definitely be tempted to zero my balance and abandon the account. eBay deserve to get sued for shit as awful as this.
The Aero Cafe Racer is a far more attractive jacket. And you’re not stuck with the stock back with those effectively non-functional gussets- customise away to your heart’s content.
