I don't ride, but if I did, I'd prefer CXL to Vicenza. CXL is beefier and I think would take more beating. Vicenza isn't a slouch though, but thinner, and I'd probably give the rain resistance edge etc. to CXL as well.
Fit looks great. Little longer on sleeves like you said. If you do go...
Did they ever make these in brown.? I'm on the hunt for a nice brown suede trucker. This is just dynamite though. Probably a size too small for me though.
Yeah, the ones with the gussets especially seem to really taper quickly. A couple of the straight backs I've had aren't as extreme, but then nailing the fit is even harder since you don't have that extra reach.
This one is interesting with the quilted lining too. Don't think I've seen like...
Come to papa! LOL. I couldn't resist. On paper, this should be the best fitting Cal I've had to date. We'll see. Lots of variables that don't show up in the numbers for some reason. But straight zip, overall condition, longer length, all the bells and whistles... couldn't resist. Lets see...
oh man, I wish you didn't post this. I've been eyeing these. Leather quality, what would you put it up against? The pics I've seen of this aging is very FCL/Y2 esqe at a very good price.
that is close to perfect as you can get. Personally I don't like action back because it tends to create a weird silhouette from the side. i don't ride so I don't need the extra flexibility. I totally get why someone who rides would want it though. But it actually looks pretty good on you...
looks fine. How often will you wear with layers vs. thinner clothe? don't think you could go down a size in any case unless there's an action back or gussets to allow for more movement.
Really glad I stuck with this one. Conditioned it with some Venetian Shoe Cream leather balm yesterday. Brought back some shine and gave it some depth.
This happens with a lot of things in life. It's both a blessing and a curse. Once you sample something of very high quality, you understand why there is a difference. There is a lot of gray area of course. For instance, I'm just as happy eating a cheese burger as I am eating a New York prime...
when you said your height and weight and then said it was a size 40, I thought for sure it was going to be too big for you. But looks great. I'm kind of wondering if it was altered. The jacket seems shorter (not for you, perfect length) than spec. I remember I saw one on Ebay once, and I was...
I'd say overall good fit. Because it's custom (I think), I would probably be a little nitpicky about the shoulders and upper biceps. Not atrocious or even bad, but slightly out of whack. For off the shelf, I'd say A- fit. For custom, maybe solid B. But I don't know the limits of the...
After a wash and dry. Dont think I could go anymore smaller because of tighter arm holes. Usually I'd like some more shape in torso, but this isn't that kind of jacket.
Beyond happy at the $180 price point. We'll see how it stands up over time.
LOL, we all in the same boat. You pretty much where I am at. I might have an extra kilo or two on you.
I just got the Bronson Khaki (the mid level one I guess. Not the submarine, not the non wool one). I'm pretty dang impressed. Other than some finishing touches (i.e. nicer buttons...
We got down to about 2 or 3 C last night. Aero B3 took the edge off of that puppy  I'm pretty sure this N1 and the other A2 I got will give me complete coverage and then some.
that looks great. My "regular" one might be arriving today or tomorrow. If I like it, I might upgrade to this one as I like the idea of not having the full lining as well.
What is your weight and height? I went with size 42 for mine knowing I will wash it and shrink it some. But I also do...
Maybe mentioned already. Did you try Lexol leather cleaner? I doubt you can go back to normal, but you should be able to make a dent. Then maybe with some "oil" (coconut oil will darken) conditioning around the area, you can bring up the color kind of on a gradient so it's not so noticeable.
