Usually anything on the Per line is great. I think most of the Schott jackets are great to begin with for the record, but the Per line gives a little extra sauce.
With those measurements, I bet you're an XS if you want snug. Any of the odd numbers for chest size trigger the next size up on...
I used Venetian Shoe Cream on my Aero CXL. Worked really well. VSC is supposed to be great for CXL boots, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's a little tacky after you first put on, but let it hang in the sun for the day and it gets absorbed.
I would never buy one new again because there's so many readily available in barely worn condition. I think Guppy is right on this one. People just give up on them. But they are excellent jackets generally speaking. I think in the $700 range for slightly used, there's not much better...
B3 is a tricky fit. There's just so much bulk in the arms from the thick shearling.
I'd say your fit is more than acceptable, but yeah, it is wider in the body for sure.
I have an Aero B3 which was size 42. I needed the length and sleeves. But my tailor took out a good 3 inches from the arm...
I've used this method on 3 jackets now. Saved a couple of them. It works great. But don't recommend with B6. It has an action back. You're going to get weird stretch lines in the back.
Don't think it's going to grow much. Whatever little flattening you get from the shearling taming down will probably be lost to the leather shrinking up some. I found my shearlings shrunk more than my leather in "normal" conditions because they absorb water/moisture pretty quickly, so even...
It's definitely not a 618. But there's not much money in forging Schotts. You can regularly find twice worn ones for more than 50% off sticker. So it's most likely a Schott of some sort.
I remember a couple models that had the laces. I had a Per3, real nice jacket, collab with Barneys that...
This is super sweet. Finidng them with original zippers is getting rare. Also has a little extra length and I love the ones without the gussets. You probably save about a half pound to pound in weight without that extra leather in the back and shoulders, so it's nice for the more fashion type...
thanks, everyone. Yeah, @Marc mndt, another Thedi is on the exception list LOL. I'd love one of his B7s. Where I'd wear it, I have no idea. But damn cool LOL. I'd "settle" for anything really.
@ton312 I was cracking up as I read through some of the old posts. You had a couple jackets on...
I used to read this thread in awe with a hint of disillusionment. How could you own so many jackets? Well, something happened before I really noticed lol.
I think, I think, I got my collection to where I want it. This is just the leather stuff. Don't even want to give attention to recent...
yeah, a good leather seamstress/tailor can install a zipper. It's a bit more complicated and expensive after the fact. They have to cut open the liner, etc. Probably run you about $100.
I haven't done deer skin. I have done horse hide many times.
You could put in a spin cycle to get out the excess water and also make sure the water has invaded every crevice LOL. That should lighten it up. Assuming it's not super thick, you'd be surprised how quickly it dries. With...
I've done multiple jackets, multiple ways. Kind of depends how much it needs to shrink. Half to full size is within reason, but the more aggressive you get, the more the odds of bad side effects.
The biggest issue is the zipper waves and possible sagging liner (depending on how close the...
New ones were going to cost like $600-1000 range. Couldn't justify for suede. I know there's some really nice, buttery soft rough out and all that, but too many jackets in the closet to spend big money anymore. All in, cost me under $200 with all the supplies and everything and was fun...
that's the 118j I think. Seriously, that's as nice as anything else on here. Would gladly be happy with that over any Buco or whatever. That's some kind of special tanning because I don't think my 118 will ever get anywhere near that look.
we'll find out soon LOL. I've used coconut oil on another suede and really liked how it looked, sort of a waxed flesh kind of thing. But coconut oil is hazy when it's dry and kind of makes it dull and was very oily to touch, so this time I thought about trying something else. So I diluted...
