weekend bump and price drop to $180 ppff US only. Otherwise I guess the kiddos can enjoy it in a few years. Too nice to give away especially after the repairs.
Having owned way too many Schotts for any normal person LOL, here's my thoughts.
The 100 series leather is spectacular assuming these two things: you don't ride and you want a flat matte look without much development. It is buttery soft with just a few wears, develops nice creases, drapes...
Epic. I may have to copy you. Wow, that belt. The mutton is whole other world, but the belt, it's in the details.
Mine has really opened up past 20 or so wears. Finally got some breathing room. I still think I was probably better off going size 42, getting wet and hanging in the sun vs...
When I got in line about a year ago, I was pretty much going to do this one but without the action back. Since seeing the Pony Brown and realizing I'm very heavy already with black jackets, I think I'm going in a different direction. I think LOL. Seeing this has me maybe rethinking my...
Lol. I live in a part of Los Angeles called the valley. We get 40-50 degree temperature changes in a day all the time. It was probably low 50s this morning when I drove kids to school. We'll hit probably 105 around 3 o'clock. That desert air. Most people keep a jacket or sweater in the car...
Here's the Bravestar version. I need a large and this is XL. So I think the smaller size will fit better and take off a little length and get closer to where I want. I still have a vintage 101j so got that look covered with the shorter and boxier cut. Wanted something different here. I...
try looking for aviator style. they tend to have the more ornate pocket.
Also, Schott has a really cool one with a very OG style liner and it's on sale right now. Really tempting. I tried one on at the LA store few months back.
About a year and a half. It was my first "real" jacket purchase after finding these forums. Kind of went head first LOL. So because it was the first, it got quite a few wears before I accumulated way too many. I'd say it has about 100 wears on it, but more importantly, I really beat up on it...
thanks, yeah, once the waxes warm up, it's pretty tame, but since it's got to be somewhat chilly to wear a jacket, I'm always stuck in this limbo kind of state. I'm hoping the CXL breaks down more to the level of my blue cafe racer. That one is super drapey and much more comfortable.
I was going down this road too. Caught myself literally looking in the mirror over some stupid thing one day. Realized I was so focused on buying the next instead of enjoying what was already in the closet and was already gluttonous on all levels. Once I just started wearing what I had, a...
Wore this the other day. I know I've done my fair share of Aero bashing, but when they get it right, it sure looks nice. The star here is the brown fqhh cxl. Some wonky stitching made worse with contrast thread, but I'm less interested in that. Shoulder pads really helped redistribute the...
great looks all around. Glad the jacket was a good fit for you. And yeah, that leather version is spot on. Wow what a great jacket. I ended up grabbing a Bravestar version of the lee 101j. Definitely longer and trimmer sleeves. I need to post a pic of that here. I still have another...
Very nice fit. It's good on length. The knits create an optical illusion (people are looking at where the leather ends) but that looks about right. Even the sleeve length is perfect so you get some tucked in effect.
yeah, the CXL version. So dang nice. I agree, 1 inch less would be great, but it's nice having different looks with so many jackets. I don't ride anyway, but I can see how that would be annoying. For fashion it's great, but yeah, just sitting down, I find myself unzipping or moving the 2 way.
