MelancholicNostalgic, BobHufford and Dh66 - great ties! I always enjoy seeing your American styles.
I'll start of with an American one that I came across: A '"Botany" Brand "Regence"' - any of you know that particular run? It's a nice little label. I assume late 1940s?
A regular Terylene -...
Any of you gents know much about 'Sammy' cravats and scarves. I've come across some recently and I'm struggling to date them. If anyone's got a bit of knowledge I'll post 'em up!
DNO and BobHufford - thanks! I came really lucky with them, and I really like them!
Dh66 - I had not thought of that at all! It does indeed look a bit Bamboo-like. Perhaps could have done with another colour thrown in, maybe a red or something. Still reminds me of old bananas though :P I shall...
Haha Yeh. I'm not sure who else we would convince around our way! It's a classic working man's look though. Do you come across many vintage caps? I've never seen any myself. Presumably they were worn out and chucked more than felt hats.

A load of cravats - various ages but all Rayon.

And...this one. I've never come across a nasty Tootal before, but this has got to be it. Reminds me of when you leave a banana in the fruit bowl too long. Despite it all, I find its' ugliness endearing.
Been really lucky recently for picking up Tootals. Ties first:
I'm a massive fan of this spotty 'Black' - it looks great on! The other is pretty regular though.
Two very old 'Standard's. The blue one is really knackered - fraying at the knot etc, but has that really old printed label. The...
It's pics like this that affirm my wearing of a flat cap with a nice suit. It's a look I like the best! And there are some damned fine caps in this picture - real dustbin lids! Great photo as ever HBK.
You're right that boiler suits are the norm for anyone under the age of about 80 really. I'd say they're generally more practical, but damned hot in the summer time (I've chased cows around fields in them a few times, and it really does get a bit warm!) Interesting otherwise that bib-and-braces...
I think 'bib-and-braces' were standard for agricultural workers/farmers. Even until recently, before my wife's grandfather passed away he would opt for them over overalls. I've now got one of his pairs :)

Great picture! I know Birchover a bit - I've camped there a couple of times a few years ago. I wouldn't have expected it to be a big enough place to support a Tennis Club! But it does seem to be typical for a lot of the old tennis and cricket pavilions that are knocking about around here...
