That's a brilliant tie dh66! I've never seen a plaid in that colour! You're a lucky devil! :)
And RetroS that Wembley is the cream of the crop! I really like that!

I use an Edwin Jagger safety razor with Derby blades. Does a great shave, and I find the safety razor the least irritant to my skin (and I get less spots/pimples!). Not a fan of multi-razors, and I do have an electric shaver that's very good in a pinch, but I soon regret it!
Other than that I...
Here's what I wore today (apologies for poor phone camera):
Working from home this morning, so in a cravat and knitted waistcoat.
Then went shopping with my wife later, so put on a tie and jumper!
You look great Dinerman. Lovely smart-but-casual look (and I don't mean smart-casual!) I particularly like you cap. Has the brim been broken to give that shape or is it in the style of the cap?
Nice to know it's a locally made one! I've got a sports jacket in a very similar tweed to that actually, but it's one of those semi-riding coat type of things. A hacking jacket I suppose. Smashing suit though!
Yes you're right about the style of 1950s jackets. Plus, 1930s/1940s ones are harder...
Also turns out that striped scarf is my university colours!

The more I've studied this tie, the more I think it's definitely a Tootal. Since the recent acquisition of that old black 'Standard', and also looking at my oldest scarf, the cloth matches them. Also, it completely matches the construction of the black one, down to length, the reinforced...
Thanks TT! I've been VERY lucky really, and got some bargains. The racing tie - I about fainted when I saw it! It wasn't cheap, but I snapped it off the stand in the vintage shop quicker than anything!
I'm proud of that striped scarf too. It really does look like a club or university scarf or...
Thanks Esteban! They are great caps to see.
I think the higher fastening had to do with the 'ghillie' collar originally being fastened right at the top, which then morphed into the lounge suit. It looks okay

Ah yes of course sorry Keith! Well it doesn't have to be a comb it could be a sewing kit or cigarettes or an emergency £ (or $) note. Anything! Just a secure little pocket for whatever. It's been an idea that's intrigued me that's all!

How is this coming along? I've got that same cap as yourself, and had to do a bit of stitching to put some shape into it. I found it a little shapeless around the sides of my head. Also, as you seem to be going after, I think the brim is a little too short for the size of the cap really. I'd be...
Nice idea! And brilliantly executed! That cap is spot-on too. Great balance and shape.
I've always wondered if there's a use for the space above the peak in a flat cap. Like a little internal slot for a miniature comb or something. After all, I reckon I get my worst hat hair when I'm wearing a...
Another great one. I have a similar one in a green nail-head Harris Tweed, the same cut, vent and all. I really like those late 1950's, early 1960's tweed jackets. They really capture the era.
