Dale - that one is really charming. A simple but evocative pattern.
BobHuff - great haul! Have to agree with Esteban on my favourite.

Phew! Very good find indeed then! I can imagine stuff like this got bought for someone as a birthday or father's day present and never got used. I can't imagine there were all that many ordinary working men did a lot of travelling, nor even a lot of middle class men!
You see I've heard both the old double-round collars called that, as well as the 1970s manifestations. I've never been clear what exactly a 'penny round' is
Those caps are brilliant. Hell so are the suits. And the boots. And the ties. So all of it basically ;) Although that scenic backdrop is pretty rubbish :D
There's an example of that style in that 'Vintage Menswear' postcard book. A fellow wearing a blazer in just that style. I don't have the book to hand, so sorry for only the description. Have you replicated the look yourself HBK?
Interesting indeed. They look like those rounded collars from the 1970s. I think a tightly pinned, very soft collar looks absolutely great. Not that I have any myself, but I can admire from afar...
That's a smashing find! I love the details for the collar studs and collar pins. I don't think it would have occurred to me that that was what that was for! That lining is in good nick too - even rarer! Usually there's some moisture stains or something like that.
You look brilliant! I really really like that pullover! My mother-in-law has offered to knit me one for Xmas, and I couldn't decide what colour. I think I've found a winner! Lovely hat, shirt and tie too. Do you mind giving some info on them? :)
Thank you gents! I've got to say my favourite is that purple Palm Beach, with the stripes. The fabric itself feels amazing. But I do really like that yellow one - you can really imagine it being worn by some guy strolling along the sea front in a cotton suit. Or a used car salesman ;)

From another source, same as that earlier wool Brit one, two Tootal ties, in immaculate condition.
And lastly a 'Trias'. A lovely British brand :)
Bonus round!
Two cards with collar pins on. Sorry for the bad scan. 'Bond' St. Pin Gold Plated'. Picked up the both for a fiver...
A few recent acquisitions, the most interesting of which are the 11 deadstock ties from across the pond in the US. They are all crumpled quite a lot but mostly in good condition, and with most of them still having the original cardboard slips on. :)
The orange one is from the American lot, the...
Great looking case Esteban! Very often you see old suitcases in terrible condition, and crazy prices. That one there is lovely! I've got one that I use for weekend trips, or for taking my accessories on longer holidays (we don't go abroad at all really). It's a real leather one that I creamed...
