I love the design. What is bad with shantung? I am asking because I don't know anything about how it compares to hemp or toquilla.

Since so many people keep posting pics of coffee, I figured I needed to change things up with some iced tea after a long day of trial.

Lol. It's not that kind of trial. It's a constructive termination and failure to provide reasonable accommodation in the workplace case.

Akubra makes a ladies hat called the Bianca that might be what you are looking for. It's basically an Akubra Adventurer with a different ribbon and it comes in more feminine colors as well as some neutral ones.

What's with all the holy (I.e. Ragged) hats? Where are Art, Gannon, Esther, Black Sheep, Alley Kat, Penman, etc. on that list? They are the ones who should be outfitting the stars.

If you like open crown and a fedora look, you may look at the Akubra Fedora (also known as the Sydney). I also think the Squatter is worth a look. If you like the outback look (since you like the Cattleman) and want that with a smaller crown and some taper, try the Banjo Paterson or Lawson...
I'm a little scared to stretch it as this would represent the most money I have spent on a hat (I was saving for a Gannon). It is with great hesitation that I think I have to pass. Assuming you sell it, I think the new owner will be very lucky indeed.

I'm not sure how much that one will shrink. Maybe someone else who owns one can comment. It's a nice, versatile color though.

Mine was pretty loose when I first got it. I had to put in foam strips behind the band. Now it fits much more snug, and I can almost take them out. Sometimes the color matters with how much it shrinks, so I will mention that mine is the bluegrass green one.

Both of the articles posted by you and Bama were helpful. The hat I have may be a bound underwelt, but I'm still not entirely sure.

I'm not really sure what a Cavanagh edge or underwelt is. Google isn't really helpful on that note. Here are pics. Maybe it is an underwelt (Cavanagh sounds American and this is an Italian hat)? First pic is of the top of the brim and second is the underside since they are different...
You're 100% right. This brim is way too big. It's almost 4 inches. I got the hat for free from a friend and love the felt, but the brim is way too big for me. I am looking for a place to have the brim trimmed to about 2.25 inches and rebound. However, I am not sure where to go since this...
You may want to check it out in fern green:
The Akubra Adventurer is also very similar with an unbound brim and comes in a range of colors; however, some sites sell it pre-creased and some sell it open crown.
