1.). I'd need more info on the look you want. Looks pretty good for a quick bash though.
2.). Just flip it down. Even if it is stiff, you won't break the felt. Try holding the front of it with your right hand on the left side of the hat near your left temple and then slide your hand across...
I finally got my Borsalino Trionfo converted into a Homburg. What do you guys think? I couldn't change the ribbon out or put binding on the brim since Gary didn't have any in-store, but he took pretty good care of me otherwise.

So I finally talked with the people at the Hat Store in Houston, and I am planning on having them make my wide brimmed black Borsalino Trionfo into a shorter brimmed Homburg on Thursday. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on versatile ribbons and/or brim treatments I could have them...

Some great hats today, gents!
I've been away for about two weeks without a hat, so it feels good to be back in my BGCD.

I have the Cattleman in Bran. I live in Houston and it is one of my go-to hats for the heat (the other one being my hemp Balmoral). The brim is quite large if you are not used to wearing hats but it grew on me (see what I did there?).

Under. You don't have to use the sticky if you plan on removing it. Mine stayed in without sticking it. Nice bash and good-looking hat by the way.

Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a standard fedora into a homburg? I have a black Borsalino Trionfo with a nearly 4 inch brim. Thanks to some suggestions here, I am planning to take it to have the brim trimmed down to 2.25 or 2.5 inches. I am wondering if anyone knows if it is...
