Hi zebedee, the LHB is a great jackets if I wasn't a little wary of zippers. However, the choices are still the LHB, Maxwell and the Mulligan as they all have the features I'm looking for.
Thanks handymike, the Japanese do make very refine stuff albeit expensive stuff. As this is going to be...
Hey Cornelius,
I had asked aero about modifications but it's mostly minor mods.
If I had to made a lot of mods like having internal from external cargo pockets or whole collars I might as well go fur a whole different jacket or have it completely customised elsewhere.
The Mulligan, Maxwell...
Hi Edward this is great info, thank you!
Goat has risen to the top of the pile now as I rather have a jacket that maintains its looks after years and not look to shabby.
I've been using my Ted Baker Marvin for most of my travels to colder regions but the matrix look is getting a bit old for me...
Hi tropicalbob, great to know and it's worth my consideration. I have one worry as there's another thread about a busted zipper that was sent to a fellow member in Korea. I'm rather leery of zippers cos I'm oversea.
Hi Fifty150, to be honest I've had limited success with tailors here. I had...
Bummer that this happened, I've kidda steered away from zippered stuff when getting it from overseas cos of such potential issues.
I'm hoping for the best for the op as thus really shouldn't have happened, I hope Aero makes it right.
All the best to the OP.
AeroFan_07, many thanks for the warm welcome. I did look around some of the sites but not ebay Japan or Rakutan. Perhaps I should check out the 2nd hand market here. I'm a slim medium in the US or Europe but here I'm rather tall and lanky for an Asian and so far I've not had much luck to get...
Cornelius the Mulligan does look like a decent travel jacket and it's a shorter field jacket. My only concern is it could be too utilitarian or austere as I will want to wear it when I'm at ginza or high street.
I'll go bug the kind folks at Aero with your recommendation and see if a slim...
Mr Proper that's a good idea and I'm ok with a few weeks after all I've been waiting more than 20 years to get a leather jacket lol.
That's for the heads up I'll go bug the guys at Aero on this Thanks again Harris
Hi zebedee and Harris,
Thank you for the recommendations and the other jackets really look awesome too. I'm now starting to get why it's so hard to nail the right jacket when there are so many choices lol.
I may end up with a couple like the long half belt or some other zippered jacket but...
HoosierDaddy many thanks for the pictures, looks like it's 3 for the teamster n zero for the rest.
You guys are really rocking the teamster.
The only concern I have about the aero in the non slim jackets is I might not fit well in them cos I'm rather slim at just 73 kg.
Hi Seb Lucas,
Many thanks for your reply and I get where you're coming from. I would hate having to lug around a 4 kg leather jacket. I've studied in the US a while at Michigan and the UK but I never had a leather jacket to throw around so I thought it's time I get one to find out what the...
Hi all,
Thanks for this great community and I really love the looks of a classy leather coat/jacket especially in cooler climates.
I am interested in getting a leather blazer / jacket for use when I'm traveling.
I hope the knowledgeable folks here can help me decide on what I should be...
