Getting a button down jacket this time, like a simple car coat/jacket. I have a cross zip already, but I find that buttons just make for an easier day to day jacket.
Yeah, I think you nailed it. I got advice a while ago about buying stuff. You can choose buy alot with a little, or buy a little with alot. Go talk with them, I'm a pretty spend thrifty guy myself, I'm sure they can build something to an acceptable price. Having done all my research on all the...
Yeah, my naked cowhide is very very functional. I had it made before I allowed these damn forums to influence me into wanting things like CXL and such, and went with durability and wearability, both of which I definitely got. I'm still shocked how supple and luxurious it feels despite being, for...
I don't have direct experience with 5 star, from my research they look like they build a solid jacket, comma, for the price, which is not to be a detractor. Their build quality appears to be solid, and better than their prices seem to reflect, especially when you consider their price point...
Looks great! The leather looks similar if not the same as the naked 3oz I got on mine, I chose from the swatches and a bunch of their jackets at the time had it. The way it drapes tells me it isn't as rigid as say a CXL, and it's one thing I really like about the 3oz naked on mine is how easy it...
I like the Schott, looks good, uses a cool leather, I like the company, and as far as I know their jackets haven't fallen apart on their owners and are built durably.
Looks great, agreed with OP that they were smart not to do the cross zip, a very modern design. Only 50 made, Shinki leather, Schott name, 1400 bucks, I don't see anything wrong with the price.
If kenneth cole can make jackets to a soec consistently, surely a boutique company charging over twice as much can reasonably reproduce something within an acceptable tolerance. And if not, they should be overly accommodating and gracious with their return/exhange policy.
Why does the consumer...
God dang that leather looks friggin sweet, sorta reminiscient of shell cordovan but with all that pull up.
They nailed the shoulder for you. The length looks good to me but I can see why you may want to shorten it by an inch, and while we're really nitpicking it could be tapered just a smidge...
Dang, so glad I stuck to ordering from local brands.
I'd say take the measurements, build a case for them sending the wrong jacket by showing what the measurements should be, send one more email with your findings, if no go open a dispute with your credit card company and just call it a day...
Totally, I dig the vertical pocket, plus I bet it looks up the look too and shows off the zipper in a good way.
Ugh, now I gotta see this leather, I mean I already got a black jacket, so maybe I should go brown. The overdye to my eye already looks like a dark brown too. Ugh decisions.
I could see people not liking the vertical pocket because it make look like an athletic shell jacket or something, but frankly I think it makes the jacket. So many a2 jackets, so that subtle touch really makes it unique without slapping you in the face about it.
That vermont leather sounds...
I think the reason why there's so much catch and release jackets is that people normally have to buy and try, and then realize it doesn't fit, and then up for sale it goes.
When I get my suits made, it's a 3 fitting minimum, and wool is a much more predictable material than leather.
Oh no you didn't! What style you going with?
Looks great! At first I was encouraged about the leather being more flexible, then you said the overdie will be worse so fml lol.
