I tried that years ago, it doesnt produce the same result. Sandpaper also cuts the fibers (even if its fine sandpaper) so you most likely will get holes in some places. Yes you can get holes the normal way too, but it just doesnt look the same.

    Staff changes at Aero Leather

I will help you by not ordering a jacket I was supposed to. I will wait. How nice of me :D I might be wrong, but looking back and reading between the lines from the collaboration, I think Aero has done the right thing. Specially since there was really only an IH zip on an Aero jacket. I was...

Yeah, but it looks like your jeans get alot more action then mine. This works well with the fact that your jeans getting smellier then mine in a shorter period of time. I agree that what you have there is perfect and I wouldnt push it if I had that in sucha short time......but I dont. The fact...

The Denim Thread: Questions & Answers, Pics & Fits

For me, dry cleaning would be taking it too far. I just use them as long as I can and then wash. It all depends on whats happening. One pair went for longer then a year without any smell but I didnt do much in them (was in school) another pair started smelling very fast so in the washer they...

Obviously it will depend on what the jeans will touch, and how much. Otherwise you are either calling me a liar or your saying I cant smell normally. Wearing them at home and in the office will not make them smell as much as if you work in a barn, right? So it all depends.

The Denim Thread: Questions & Answers, Pics & Fits

My 21oz IronHeart was very soft when I got them and they could not stand up by themselves. No one can see they are thick until they feel them. It does take some getting used to, wearing jeans for a long time without washing. I used to wash my jeans after 3 days so it was hard for me in the...

My IronHeart is very comfortable. It took a while, but now I dont even think about them being thick. They are warm tho, so in the summer its not my favourite pair.

Lee 101Z 23 oz selvedge jeans

I hope everyone got that the 634s is tapered. I sent them to "The Denim Doctor" to get them tapered. I have put on some waist so I had to get them kinda big, I dont know if thats why, but they were hilariously wide in the legs, I found them unwearable like that so thats why I sent them to be...

Lee 101Z 23 oz selvedge jeans

Thanks. The jacket is an Aero 30´s halfbelt with 2 breastpockets and no sidepockets. It has no halfbelt and the lining is the berry three season tartan. The jacket is very short and is made of the former (thin) oilpull medium weight so it is my summer jacket.

Lee 101Z 23 oz selvedge jeans

I wouldnt have a big problem with it if it happened to both legs, but in many ocasions it only happens to one leg, like on my Nudie. This is not intentional, but a bad match of the denim. I have the 634s and they shrunk less then other sanforized denim I have had. They have other "problems"...

Lee 101Z 23 oz selvedge jeans

I read on some jeans something like "they will warp just like the vintage ones...blah blah" like it was something cool and something to embrace. From my understanding this happens when they try and get the most out of the fabric and the fabric is actually used in the wrong direction. This has...

    Amazing A2 ... but original?

Great patina. Often older jackets look "dirty" or in other ways does not apeal to me like I would want to wear it to an office or even close to people on the subway :D but this one just looks good.
