Well I’m still kicking and on the path of recovery from the hip replacement. I’ve graduated from the walker to the cane which has give me some freedom to get out of the house. My loving wife took me out to a nearby tap house this evening for a pint of ESB. I chose a Stetson 15X which I think...
That TD is wonderful and brings back some great teenager memories. My parents bought and restored a 51 MG TD that same color. I got to drive it often. What a fun and cool car. I’ve been a MG fan ever since. Your Y type is something I never knew about. It’s gorgeous.
I’ve come back to these pictures and I think you’ve done a great job so far with the repair. It’s definitely better than the before pictures, and with a few more repeats of your process I think the patch will hardly be noticeable at all. I like it.
How do you do that? You’re always impeccably matched from your hats to your shoes, and now you’ve managed to add the perfect bicycle to pair with the outfit.
And thanks for the tip. I think riding my bicycle (step-through frame thank goodness) and taking daily walks through our downtown may...
Thank you. Yes I’ll be good and follow the rules. My wife and daughter will see to that. Also my physical therapist is a long-time personal friend, and he’s already called me to let me know he got the referral. He’ll know if I’ve been bad between appointments because he’s certain to be...
Thank you!
Killer colors! I’ve typically been buying various combinations of grays and browns but the dark blues I’m seeing lately are starting to get my attention.
Edit:
I have no idea how I combined those two posts. Must be the pain meds. LOL
Thank you this hat has taken on a lot of meaning for me through all of this.
Thank you!
No joke! And thanks!
Oh yeah people are even asking about it here in the hospital. Thank you!
Thanks!
Thank you and I made sure they helped me do a trial run to the bathroom with a walker before it...
I went to the car wash wearing one of my brown w/black ribbon 50’s Stetsons (I like that color combination on my narrower brims). While there I got out of my Jeep and immediately broke my hip on the ice. Total hip replacement tomorrow morning.
The hat never fell off and I never even thought...
My Santa must've thought I was pretty dang good this year! It's perfectly sized and looks like it was hardly worn. It even came with a cool round Stetson box too! Wearing it to services this morning and probably for the next few days too.
I'm in full on stingymas spirit today with another brown w/black ribbon Stetson with a whopping 1 5/8" brim. I'm taking advantage of an unusual temperature situation here in the picture. Most of my felt hats will be spending time here for the next couple of days.
