Just curious; is there a production date printed on the inside of the sweat?
These German Stetsons (from Mayser) often have that; atleast on several of mine.
Borsalino Extra Superiore in Bronzo. The ribbon has a slight color gradient in Aligi.

According to Stefan's tag-dating list, it is somewhere in the 1960s - 80s.
The eBay photo was so bad, that I got it for 1 Euro!

Did you actually get this nice Panama for three Dollars? If so, fantastic bargain. I missed out on the same model in size 7 3/8 just a few days ago on eBay; it went for 58,- Euro. BTW yours is exactly my size :-)
Mayser "Touring" from 1963. Sold at J.F. Reiser in Berlin.

Don't know if "Danubius" is the model or brand. Not much left of the original tag. I presume from 1950-60's.

"2X" ... of what for a straw hat?
Is it for straw content, weave-count, quality or price?
Any kind of "X" without stating what it describes is misleading marketing :)

I'm just jealous, because I don't own any hats with an "X" :-)

One member asking about information to the brand, but received no reply.
