So I always thought that Stetson bought Mallory in the 1940s and from then on they made lesser quality, probably wool hats. Is that all wrong—did they continue to make high quality hats under Stetson ownership?

Gannon today. New felt is never going to be as nice as old felt but Michael does a great job and I’ve learned how to use a little stiffener and steam to get the shape I want out of his thin vintage-feel pouncing.
