I like this jacket quite a bit. I typically don't care for the WWII style shearlings with the huge collars as they almost always seem so large and overpowering on nearly everyone who tries to wear them. Those jackets were designed for a vastly different purpose than people now are using them. On...
Interesting that they sent you samples of Horse Hide. I have emailed Shawn three times in the past couple months about availability of HH and he kept saying out of stock. Just last week, he told me it would be a year before he could source Horse Hide. I don't get why he'd send samples of...
Anyone have one? How is it holding up? Any caveats or things you wish you'd done differently when ordering?
I have recently ordered and received a Sheene type jacket from 5*, in steerhide. I like the jacket a lot and I learned a few things about how my measurements need to change a bit for the...
Bump to see what people might be carrying these days.
I have been toying with the idea of getting a nice weekender bag...a little off-put by the weight of them....but realizing that one must tolerate the heft of these bags, if one wants something higher quality for the long haul.
Any updates or...

I have...
Looks very good! I like the contrasting stitching as well. I would possibly have the sleeves just a bit longer as you say, but it doesn't look bad at all. Well done!
While not a legit vintage jacket, the one that I recently had them make is now on the webpage. I feel like it would be even better if Fivestar would create a separate page for all these "new" patterns to make them easy to find for people looking for other than repro jackets. (Shawn, if you are...
I will be the first to admit that I lack the depth of knowledge of many on this forum regarding high end leather and jackets. However, that being said, the jacket that I received from Fivestar recently feels and looks really nice. Everything was done as I requested and the ordering process was...
