Schott recommends you go up one size from your suit size on the 689 but I don’t agree. I wear a 40 suit jacket and my 40 689 fits just right. A 42 would be too roomy. Hope this answers your question.
Great post, very insightful! Can you let us know the rise on your jeans? This will put the length of the jackets in proper perspective. That Warhawk is awesome stuff...,
You should thrilled, looks great and as I’m sure you know those suckers are hard to get right. In my experience tight arm holes relax after some initially uncomfortable wear
Granted I’m looking at this on my phone but I could swear that is Black FQHH! Love the jacket particularly the sleeve zips and the removal of the shoulder gussets. Any other mods, added length perhaps?
Thank you Sir, I figured you would have some insight in this regard! What about length? Some other threads on the lounge seem to suggest the Sonoma is a super cropped version almost to Vanson Comet standards.
I’ve got some serious hang ups when it comes to length but this looks perfect to me. For the front measurement I go from the top of the zipper to the bottom of the jacket. I see what you mean about the 1” drop on the front so no need to measure again. Thanks for the numbers brother, much...
Looking forward to seeing this. The ELMC Californian is one of my favourite jackets but I’ve always felt lost in no mans land between the L and the R. Nice of you to work through this for me on your dime
Interesting topic, I take a bit of a different approach than the OP. I like to crumple up my FQHH in a ball and sit on it while I’m at work. I find it helps with the break in process. I like creases and wrinkles, different strokes I guess
Looks great Thug. Based purely on pictures the ELMC Californian is one of my absolute favourite jackets but I’ve always been a bit scared off by the length. Doesn’t seem to be a problem here though, looks perfect!
