That specific jacket does not look like it's made in the USA, at least judging by the price tag. Jerri usually doesn't have information concerning Schott products intended for the European market and made in Asia. But it's worth a try.
I also noticed that most BRs in Aero's stock section with around 20-20.5" p2p had around 17" or even smaller shoulders. Quite unfortunate, as that won't be enough even for a t-shirt fit, quite honestly.. I swim and do tons of pull-ups, which has correspondingly resulted in a slightly larger...
Yes, thank you! Only problem is that #083 is a CR, not a board racer.. :)
You mentioned inaccurate measurements, though.. Maybe I should double-check with them in case I find something from their stock with more or less correct measurements, just to be sure?
Looking for a black FQHH Board Racer with approximately the following measurements.
P2P: around 20.5"
Shoulders: around 18".
Sleeves should be around 64-65 cm along the curve (at least that's the measurement on my other jackets).
Preferably brass zippers.
Also considering other colours...
What's the minimum chest ease allowance you could go for with FQHH or CXL steer without having to endure immense suffering while breaking it in? Talking about a new jacket, with a board racer, Seven, or a cafe racer in mind.
My current FQHH jacket (bought used) has a two-inch chest ease...
I hope they’ll come up with some sort of a solution soon. Their jackets are fairly expensive as it is, now add another 30% in VAT / customs fees. Did some calculating meanwhile and it appears If I bought a £700 jacket, I’d have to pay another £210 in fees (20% VAT + 10% customs fee in these...
Received the 70s Schott CR, which happened to be my first cafe racer as well. The condition is amazing for that age, the jacket fits like a glove, and the blackish brown hide is really beyond description. The jacket is not even broken in! My only qualm is the quilted lining, but maybe it could...
Recently bought an Aero Dustbowl from a fellow Fedora lounger. Really high hopes for that one. Also have my first board racer on the way (again, used) and a vintage Schott CR. Funny, because I only came to the forum to ask advice on a cross-zip (didn't care about other styles then), and now here...
I must say the same shoes in CXL look pretty amazing. The price isn't that bad either if the quality is there: https://crownnorthampton.com/collections/stitchdown-construction/products/grove-desert-shoe-horween-no8-chromexcel
The weather's getting warmer, which also means lighter footwear.
My current favourite is Solovair, but before getting another pair, I thought I should perhaps consider the alternatives this time.
Interested in something a bit more casual, perhaps in the Gaucho Crazy Horse leather, like these...
Thanks! In your opinion, are the sleeve and back length enough for a height of 181 cm or so? Height aside, I think we have pretty similar measurements.
Thanks! Appreciated! I haven't had a CR (or similar jackets) before, so the measurements are something I need to look into. I'll check out Kehoe as well.
What a fine jacket! Love the colour. Unfortunately, the P2P is a bit too much for me, even when heavily layered. Thanks for the offer, though!
I did. Holly said 20.5" would be 'very slim fit', whereas 21.5" would give a comfortable, yet slim fit. Honestly, I'm not that concerned about extra room for layers; just think 20.5" might be too slim. It's also a somewhat costly experiment, as the slim fit version of the jacket is custom by...
Thanks for the answers and pictures!
I wonder, with a 38" chest (almost exactly 38"), could it be that a p2p of 20.5" (size 38) is too snug or restrictive? What's the consensus here? Size 40 is 21.5", which might be slightly too loose-fitting. Or perhaps not? I'm going for soft, mid-weight...
I'm considering ordering my first jacket from Aero, namely the slim fit version of the Motorcycle Jacket (known as Ridley) and have a question concerning the chest size.
My chest measures almost exactly 38" (c. 38.5" when layered) and I'm torn between the sizes 38 and 40 (with 20.5" and 21.5"...
