    Today's zug is not comparable to past's zug grain from Martin's tannery. 60 years old Lotus boots seem more robust to me compared to one year old Tricker's grassmere. But Hoggs of Fife boots have quite thick and supple zug grain leather which I can recommend. It is nice that they are still...

    I both own the current LW ANJ-4 and ELC ANJ-4. I can add some photos in a few days. LW ANJ4 seems more robust than the ELC one to me.

    Real zug gets more supple with time. Thanks to my friend Ben aka "CrashTestBrummie" who sold these to me. It is nearly impossible to find such old boots in such a condition. I have 3 more zug grain shoes and boots to post here.
