I appreciate your comments. However I still will not accept this type of behavior I am seeing as my own kind. Disassociation is my only relief.
Enjoy your new pants. :)
^ I just looked those pants up. I still say navy blue duty pants are another option. Most are made with a thick material. Would combine well with the rugged aspect of an N1. I do like the Barents pants though. Good Choice > Urban Adventurer.
As far as the USN stencil " Sigh " yeah but it makes...
^ Carhartt used to make some really nice denim shirts. I was a die hard Carhartt fan for years until their clothes started looking like a made in Pakistan construction worker. Quality to the max. Even their famous thermal lined hoodies have gone to crap. They aren't as thick as they used to be.
In that case you may want to look into EMS pants or service workers pants. Look at 5 11 tactical and Blauer. Basically navy blue duty pants. They would work with either color. My only concern would be looking too "duty" oriented but you can accessorize with a nice scarf or hat.
I agree though...
What people are calling denim these days is highly subjective. Most of the big companies add stretch fabrics to it which IMO dumbs down both the quality and fit of the jean. Some jeans I have picked up in the store don't even feel like denim. They feel like they are made from an artificially...
Have you considered flannel lined jeans ? If not that then look into duck/twill work pants by Carhartt. It is the alternative to jeans but I still say jeans look the best with an N1. Some things you can't fight.
More importantly what color is your N1 ?
Another Blauer duty shirt I wear casually is their Armour Skin base shirt. It comes in a few colors. Here is navy. Really super cool looking fashion forward. Something Tom Ford might come out with. I like the sunglass/microphone loop.
Also me in the black uniform shirt. Tail is long but rises a...
I totally agree. That's why these shirts caught my attention. The fit. I will take a picture with them on tomorrow.
Thanks !
I agree. The only one I would play with all one color is black. The khaki would look great with blue jeans and maybe natural color Timberland work boots.
I used to love 5 11 tactical clothing but fell out of that phase awhile ago. Recently I came across a company called Blauer. I absolutely fell in love with the quality of their items. IMO far superior than 5 11.
I picked up these duty shirts. They are very unique in both quality and fit. They...
Thanks. This is a great link. The guy definitely has a pulse on what I am looking for. Freewheeler has nice things. I found a shirt I liked for 380 Pounds. Not doable but great looking. The Japanese brands are the way to go for American work shirts for sure.
That Carhartt shirt is probably the only decent denim shirt I found at the usual retailers. The problem I have with it is the slub texture in the denim. Usually "slub" is a less than desirable denim therefore cheaper to produce. Otherwise maybe a little too blue collar for me at this point in my...
Interesting look for Halloween but I wouldn't be caught dead in that. :)
I disagree that denim shirts need to be western inspired. I like the ones which model a standard work shirt but in denim. Carhartt has had decent models as well as Dickies but those two companies are not on the same level...
Thanks. I am surprised that Wrangler hasn't figured out that making a non western looking denim shirt would be super advantageous. Not the thin RIGGS workwear model they make but perhaps a Cowboy Cut without the Western seams and pearl snap buttons. They definitely still have access to decent denim.
I did send them an email. Thank You.
I have my eye on the selvedge denim shirts. They advertise 3 different styles. Going by the chart the Small coincides with the measurement of another work shirt I own. Although a medium SLIM could possibly shrink down to fit. Will have to see what they...
