AUD I would imagine. Slightly off topic, but I remember when I was 19 I went to australia for the month and brought my entire savings with me (which at the time was what I had saved from a summer job). I learned two things when I got there: 1) 19 was the legal drinking age as opposed to 21 for...
Oh, I see what you mean. This is true, still, a few days ago when I was begging them to charge my card it would have been around $775.00 :( , but such as life I suppose
John,
They told me it was GBP (pounds sterling) so my 500.00 GBP jacket costs about $830.00 as of today, Euros have a lower value...I wish it were Euros!
well the euro is back up against the dollar, it looks like I missed my window...just when I changed from steerhide to horsehide overlays...this is going to hurt. The price went up $70.00 in the last 24 hours due to the rate :rage:
I just placed an order with Aero over the weekend and Im begging them to charge my card ASAP so I can take advantage of the exchange rate we have at the moment.
I dont know anything about the company, but I always get weary when the description of an item says imported, but does not state which country made it. Usually that is an indicator that its imported from a country that doesnt have traditionally high standards of manufacturing such as China...
I asked Aero about this, they stated it was just for authenticity. I had them leave the chain off mine as I really didnt want anything that wasnt functional on my jacket. The only thing I can figure is that possibly the military was only concerned about the jacket lasting during the pilots...
absolutely beautiful.
So, since you have a number of sheepskin jackets folded up, have you noticed permanent creases forming from their storage? Are there any negative effects of folding them vs. laying them flat?
I have a few cats, but one in particular only likes to scratch fine leather...
I had asked Aero if the hanging chain in their B3's was really strong enough to hang such a heavy jacket from and they said that the B3 should never be hung up (not even on a hanger), it should only be stored laying flat. Well I dont have room in my house to lay a jacket flat (especially if I...
I always thought A2 and G-1 jackets looked good on people who are not slender. I also think the ANJ-4 could work. I dont know about the B3 jacket though...it depends on the person.
No I meant the redskin sheepskin, not HH. I have samples, but it doesnt help me with trying to figure out how they each age. It sounds like from what you stated that the seal may actually show scratches easier than the redskin though...I wouldnt have figured that.
Will do. I think Ive decided to go seal on seal which means I have to go back to using horshide instead of steeerhide (they dont have any seal steerhide). This makes it a pit more expensive, but I think with all the overlays different collors wont look so good.
If the price increases that...
Well here is what I can tell you about measurements and samples. First off Amanda had me give her two sets of measurements, one with just a light shirt on and one with the heaviest and thickest sweater I would ever wear under the coat. She also asked for measurements of a coat that fits me and...
Im stuck between choosing a seal color hide or redskin from Aero. The seal color hide seems like it would hide marks and scrapes better, but the redskin seems like it would develop more of a patina over time.
Anyone have any experience or opinions?
Ok, well I have decided on Aero and I have finalized all of my design changes with Amanda and Will.
I still have to choose which hide I want, its down to seal on seal, redskin, or using the irvin real deal
hide and Im having a really hard time deciding. The real deal shearling will hide dirt...
I wish I could save money and get the same or better quality through an original. But I need a size 50 or 52 with custom wide arms that will fit an arm with 21 - 22" circumfrence. That leaves originals and non custom makers out of the running as far as I can tell.
