OK, it's an old thread, but so is Blacksmithing so I thought I would resurrect it for this question.
Smithing on the cheap, well maybe. Need a forge? A stout lorry wheel can make do lined with fireclay etc an air pump or bellows could even be made at home with some heavy leather, but that may...
Ok, I have looked for a mens grooming topic but the search button never gets me there. So the question is asked here.
How long has beard oil existed?
Over the years I have met many men with beards, full bushy beards, Ed Roth beards, designer stubble beards and the latest squared off fashioned...
Thats a real nice jacket and at an everyday wearer price too. Nice to have something priced like this for a change and with more than a few positive comments.
Carefull, 1992? Someone on here will says thats not old enough to be 'Vintage':p
I have one exactly the same model. A great coat for field sports(Well, a shoot at least)
I know we have these brands in the UK but curiosity did not kill this cat. I just discovered a new Aero style from peeking in here, The Moonshiner :) based on Aero's Bootlegger but a button up. Hoorah for the buttons. Anyone else?
This guy looks like someone from one of those Japanese psycho/futuristic films, a bit like an Oriental Metropolis ;)
"I'll prepare dinner. Has anyone seen my chainsaw?"
These canvas work jackets are appearing more and more amongst the 'Hot Rod' set over here in the UK I think Ed Roth beards are dying out and these jackets are the next thing. Even SUPERDRY are selling them. https://www.dressinn.com/fashion/superdry-redford-jacket/135872524/p
Kind of reminds me every time someone asks a Front Quarter Horse Hide question, My mind slinks off to France when I ate my first Horse Burger. Yummmm ;)
No not that one, it is where Arthur drives the bike and the side car comes off sending Olive off on her own(Might be in one of the films).
The Bike is the same bike as in On the Busses, George and Mildred and Hodges from Dads Army.
A workmate told me he bought one (A suit if I remember correctly, it was over 40 years ago) for 10/s, thats 50p, back in 1946 and an ex military Indian twin for £5.
Thats a bit harsh Andrew! He's not on trial for his life for the sake of a few jackets :p
Watched an old episode of American...
This is probably the most iconic motorcycle clip of all time. Why?
Because when there is a casual discussion about motorbikes and sidecars this film clip will always come up. Now someone is waiting in the wings to answer this saying Steve McQueen's jump in The Great Escape is more iconic. I beg...
How about a few stories from your side of the pond then :)
Up to the1960s in England and the rest of the UK, cars were not so prolific on the streets and motorcycles, often with sidecars were the main transport for many families. You could get large bikes with massive sidecars, sometimes called...
I'd love a ride in a B-24. The B17 at Duxford, you could pay a little to go in it but not sit at the front, that was for paid up supporters only when I saw it last(about 15 years ago). I think they could have got a lot more money out of it. No pay on the day flights though, or otherwise unless...
Just for a laugh I visited the Ace Cafe on Rocker day riding my Hayabusa. As I rode along the North Circular from the A12 end I got some funny looks as I was wearing my old Kangol with goggles and a plain centre zip black jacket and black boots rather than Power Ranger stuff.
As I entered the...
WoW and thanks for the reply, I never realised the prop would be as much as it is, well we don't want that breaking up mid flight.
The price of the full size WWII aircraft I guessed about right though.
I did read that Merlins parts were relatively plentiful though, I don't mean there are...
I'm curious as to why these are not built to full size replica's. To own even the scaled down version means you have a few $$$£££¥¥¥ to spare as the original costs and fees etc probably don't come cheap, even learning to fly a light plane is not easy.
Are there regulations about size and power...
Trumped! As we used to say Haha.
Though I would think anyone caught actually pronouncing it that way would be directed to the Tidal Basin Tavern( of 'The Leather Boys' fame) to meet 'Big Mary' ;)
Me and my crowd were 'Rockers' in the 70s and 80s, the revival thing starting in the mid 80s with Lennie Patterson's Rockers Reunion runs to Brighton and Southend. I was as near as we could get I guess but still had the basic look of jeans, black jacket and high leg boots.
I often wondered...
