    The leather on the Pacific in that picture is Rancho / Ranchero HH. Chrome tanned, semi-aniline. I really doubt they will deal with CXL. The +200 pound markup for the current CXL steerhide is there because they don't want to deal with it anymore I understand.

    @navetsea I think I mostly understand why higher armholes (up to a certain point) give good mobility, but could you elaborate on the shoulder rotation? Ideally with pictures/examples. I think this topic was touched in the Field Leathers thread as well.

    @BikerMan No zippers (which is a very good thing from my perspective, as zippers are the first thing to break on boots). Outsole length : 29cm / 11.4" Outsole widest part : 10cm / 3.9" Non removable insole, so I can't measure that. Unlined, rather thin leather - should be great for warmer...

    Reviving an old but important thread! Any ideas how much difference does it make whether you use the Prym fray check (or something similar) or super glue? Some info online that I've found: If discoloration is the main drawback then it doesn't matter much as the area is black anyway.
