I already own several pairs of Red Wings (9016, 3340, 8044).
Got one more pair (9011) coming up, couldn't pass up this color in my size in this condition for ~140eu.
All of my Red Wings have been bought used. All for under 150eu, all in great shape.
I've sold one pair already in the past...
Vintage Schott 621 in size 36 on Vinted (FR) for ~300eu.
Looks cool, but max the seller managed to get from pit to pit was 45cm, which is super sketchy. Measuring poorly I think..
Shoulders 44,5cm, Length 62 front , 68 back, sleeves 60
Not sure if I should still give it a shot and risk it...
Does anyone know how does the Hooch Hauler pattern compare to the J-106/Ridley pattern? Trying to decide between these two models. Also how functional is the middle back gusset? Let's say in comparison to the Aero shoulder gussets (Two tone J106) or the bi-swing back (stock J106)
This jacket I had coming in from SB will soon go to their Outlet if anyone is interested.
The "Pacific" model in size 36. "Rancho/Ranchero" chrome tan semi-aniline horsehide from Germany.
Just wanted to comment on this part: "because I think this will make my foot look slimmer"
I would strongly advise against prioritizing looks over comfort. Make sure your toes have room and are not cramped together over "looking slim". Much more important in the long run.
Partly because of the #5 main zipper I'm also seriously considering the Moonshiner instead of J106 or Hooch Hauler. But I've seen only one thread on TFL where someone had the moonshiner (in Kudu) and I got some photos from Canuck Panda of his Moonshiner.
Why is it such a rare model? What do you...
Aero Black FQHH Size 40 Maxwell in Germany for 550eu.
Could most likely negotiate it down a lot.
Looks nice but very long? Seems almost like teamster length...

I remembered this write up / review on the vintage leather jacket forum:

This spec seems very close to what I'm thinking, just without the Epaulettes. Does look pretty cool with the belt loops. Love the shoulder gussets +...
In terms of leather I'm thinking one of these:
CXFQHH: Brown, Cordovan or Natural (what Aero is known for)
Kelpie: Brown or Dark Green (if I chicken out of CXFQHH)
Have not seen enough of Pinnacle to consider it.
Thanks for the feedback @Aloysius
Belt loops seem rather redundant if a belt is never used, but I see what you mean in terms of creating empty space if they are missing.
I'd be willing to try the KOTR style full action back + kidney panel as well.
I just find the shoulder gussets more...
I'm thinking J-106 + belt and Epaulettes removed + IR style shoulder gussets instead of full action back + KOTR style kidney panel.
Or a Hooch Hauler.
Moonshiner is also kind of calling me..
Will start a new email conversation with Aero, explain my wishes desires, get some feedback of what is...
40th anniversary Aero Leather sale started a few hours ago.
"the biggest sale event we’ve ever had on our entire range of products* has just begun"
25% off stock.
15% off custom.
Got info via phone that the discounts/sale should last until the end of this month. Plenty of time to think it...
Got a new jacket potentially coming in, but I'm a bit concerned about the leather on a few of the panels.
What's your opinion on these? Thinner leather? Loose grain? Simply more grainy?
Visually does not very desirable to me compared to the rest of the jacket, but how would it be structurally /...
Small update regarding the Tanker boots by PB that I posted earlier. Got a response from them after asking some questions via email. The response is very meh and offer the absolute minimal in terms of extra information.
"Calf leather from Portugal, thickness depends on the leather, because it is...
Red Wing 9060 is my grail RW boot. Can only dream of finding a pair in 8.5 or 9.
I'd say it's the best version of the Beckman model they have ever produced. Soft toe + tea core.
Would gladly pay 300-400 for a pair, but most of them sell for 500-600+ on ebay, too much for me.
The cherry red...
