The only places that I can think of are Burg & Schild (which @Sir Jacket already mentioned), 14 oz, and DC4 (did they reopen?). All do variations on the workwear / denim / heritage theme.
Darklands Berlin might be worth a look if you're curious about cutting edge menswear. I recall it being a...
Not exactly vintage, but Rev'it have recently announced the Yates sweatshirt.
It's made out of a Cordura knit, which gives it a decent amount of abrasion resistance, and it's got their super-thin proprietary armour in the elbows and shoulders.
Revzilla already have a product video up.
It's also sold out at Pabcho and Lefty.
As for price, it costs about the same as a Thedi or Aero jacket. I haven't seen one in person, so I can't comment on quality, but I like what Indigofera do.
The first photo was one I took at the Aero factory at the end of 2016.
The jacket had been on display, and had darkened up from sun exposure. It hadn't been worn much. I don't know how much more brown it'd get.
Congratulations on the weight loss @SpeedRcrX, and the re-fitted Shackleton looks great. In fact, the fit is way better in the after picture than in the before.
I think that the most versatile jacket would be something simple: Two hand warmer pockets; black or brown leather, probably Vicenza, goat, or a midweight horsehide; cotton drill lining; ideally cut a little bit longer than waist length, to give a bit more weather protection; enough space to...
Could Aero's vegetable tanned goat suede work for a mixed leather and suede vest?
It's tanned with a double face, so you could use the suede side on the back, and the leather side on the front. That should mean the leathers match more closely than mixing hides, as can be seen on this jacket...
@ButteMT61 I think that @MOTO is going to live to be 150, because he's that jammy. :D
Nice jacket, and I see you've got a Saint baseball cap. They do great motorcycle gear. (I'm local to them in Melbourne.)
Pratt famously lost a bit around his midriff, going from funny guy to leading man in the process.
He only did it so he could rock a leather vest, though. :)
@JMax and @Edward if you're interested in vests, Pancho and Lefty have a good selection in stock. They're not cheap, though.
I particularly like this one by North No Name. It doesn't come in my size, though.
Nice jacket!
The chances are that the snaps are a standard size. If you find a shop that does bag or jacket repairs, they're likely to have something that'll fit.
Going to Devon would be quite a hike. You'd need to get a train to Totnes, then a bus to Ivybridge, followed by a walk of nearly two miles. (Or catch a cab.) It'll take four hours each way, and probably cost £60 to £70, about $100.
I'm in a similar position to @Boyo. I got to the start of the queue in 2015, but I was being indecisive about what to get, and then my order got lost down the back of the proverbial filing cabinet with everything else that John went through.
I swapped emails with John a few weeks back, and the...
