Since its a bowler party. Met a lady the other day who like my girl and my hats. She asked if we might be interested in seeing some hats so I gave her my card. Two days ago a box showed up on the door step full of vintage millinery feather work, ladies hats and this bowler. I am flabbergasted... -

I bought this hat at St Vincent de Paul. Found it in a "hat bin" completely flat. To my suprise it was a Stetson Stratoliner in a former life. This picture does it to much justice. After some heavy washing, I reblocked it inside out (better looking on the inside) re pounced it and, well, here... -

How to wear a wrist watch?
You should match it with shoes and belt. I also hold to the more old fashioned notion that the leather band is for dress, as a metal bracelet is a sports watch. This is a source of debate in current watch circles but I think the leather strap is more refined. www.blacksheephatworks.com- navarre

Bought my first vintage fedora
I was just curious if the felt is the same color if you look under the satin liner. If there were any fading, even if uniform I would think the felt would still be the origional color inside the hat where it is never exposed. Either way, its a great color combination how ever it has occured... -
