I love this.......I have a few actual "clipped creases" for some of my hats......This one while not actually "clipped" was indeed inspired by such a crease. I like the look.....like a spear-point, like yours.....;)

Does not hurt to keep a spare...just lost one off a hat the other day (wife did found on the floor, AND figured out where it came from....she is a keeper too!;))
It is one of the few hat pins I actually like and keep on the hats....(on my premier models I have used the actual Stratoliner pins...
YES...it is from the Modern models.....the originals were TWA and had hinged pins.
EDIT: Somebody also made (did NOT come on the Stetson's) and actual TWA Stratoliner pin (rather than the DC3). These have also been reproduced (I cannot remember who) in both gold and silver. I have a few of...

The most mass produced hats are Trilibies in all types of fabric, felt, etc............WHAT do they want..... close fitting baseball caps with a brim all the way around?;)

To me it is almost as if Stetson just gave up on the OR as the quintessential crossover Western/Fedora and have gone just western with the removal of the wind cord, lowering and pre-creasing the crown, and most especially creasing it in the "Rancher/Cattleman" crease like ALL THE OTHER modern...

In essance anything made of fur that is still attached to an animal skin is outlawed.......They have not figured out/banned the scraped hat fur thing....YET!
Get them before they are outlawed in your area.....(they are now unlawful to make,own, sell, in California....:rolleyes:).
PS: I have actually seen skunk ones and they actually look pretty cool.......they have nice fur.
