Here is a 2011 4X I re-bashed.......brought to open crown then put in a tight (tighter than it looks in the photo) center crease. Still short crown though..........4 1/8 front and back.
And a 10X I re-bashed also.....
Wore this old Moose River to work on a stormy day.......
And cleaned up, re-flanged (deeper) and re-creased (no cattleman/rancher here) this Stetson 10X (what ever that means for a straw) in natural (not white like it looks in the photo) getting it ready for a grab and go in the upcoming warmer...

This was a fixer upper that a fellow lounger turned me onto several moths ago. Had a wonky broken brim. Otherwise was in fantastic collection!
I repaired and straightened it out. I cannot even see or remember where it was broken. This is the 4th...
Not sure I have ever posted this Black Homburg. I have had it some time and cannot remember where I got it (maybe from someone here???).
Perhaps late 50's -1960 or so....but really have no idea with these British hats......could be much newer. Hat is like it was purchased yesterday.

Yesterday I wore my mid-60's Imperial Key Club "Ultimate Finish" (suede). Color is " 008 Blue Surge" which is a deep navy. Felt is actually quite nice on this one....nice 2 5/8 brim. I just wish the crown were taller...(about 5 1/4). With just a center dent, and "brim up"... it wears fairly...

I am still waiting to find one (vintage) in my size.....after having passed two (that were not my size) along and having in hand another that will pass on (7 1/4 mid-50's).
I have been trying to content myself with the modern premier ones........(which are really not too bad)...and a few...

Seriously there WAS a great men's store (wish I could remember the name) just across from the Abraham Lincoln Hotel, they even sold hats. Each year for several years I made it a point to go in an buy a hat and sometimes a bow-tie......THEN the pandemic shut...
