This a Lee Trend. I won it in an Ebay auction. Seller was bit confused on the brim size saying it was 2 1/2 inches but it's only 2 1/4. The felt is thick stuff and is easily shaped without steam. There's no color designation on the sweatband, but the quality seems rather high.
I've read where if you buy a hat from ebay that you should put it in the freezer to kill any critters that might be living in the hat. Is that true? Also, can freezing a hat damage it in anyway?
Thanks. I agree with most of your assessment of the new Indy movie. It was too long. The chase scenes needed trimming. Also, most of the dialogue is simply functional. Indy films are usually funny. I can't think of any quotable lines from this new one.
I'm sure this question has been asked a hundred times already so once more ain't gonna hurt any--Besides price, is there any big difference between rabbit felt and beaver? Is beaver softer and more "vintage" feeling?

The only straw hat I have. A no-name I bought maybe thirty years ago for around twenty bucks. Subjected to sweat, cigarette smoke, and a few rain showers, It's tapered badly over the years, but it's still going strong.
