As seen on Yellowstone!
A year ago I was an “Angry Rancher” extra in S5,E3 “Wolf Court Scene.“ There were over 200 folks on the set for 10+ hour day shot here in Montana. It is amazing all the work that needs to be done just to get a few seconds on the screen.
I brought a few hats to the...
Looks great! I once had an older Bushman with lighter weight felt that had a nice tight pinch. I don’t think I can match it as these more modern versions are a bit heavier. Both versions are top notch though and I’m very happy to have it.
Wow, great hat and great refurb!
I recently picked up an orphan Disney Hats box and was naively thinking I could easily find a mate for it. You are a patient and persistent man if you’ve slogged through 4 years of “Disney Hats” searches to pick up this beauty ;-).
Akubra Bushman in Moonstone recently picked up from @Boomerang. It is a bit snug for me but it is reacting well to some stretching. Love the color but will likely reshape into a pinch front.
Here is a local find that I’m hoping to learn more about. I was thinking it might be a Beaver Brand hat but there isn’t much to go on. The “50% Beaver 20X” felt seems a bit underwhelming.
I’d love to see a pic of your bushwhacking hat and your fishing setup!
I would prefer to fish in felt year around but summers here are very hot and dry and a well vented straw seems to work best for me. With a wide brim straw I get sun protection and still get the eye shading needed to read...
Spring runoff still in full force here on a cool and cloudy day. First time this year where fish were aggressively rising and this typically means it is time to put the felt fishing hats away until fall.
This 5X Stetson Grizzly size 7 1/2 cleaned up nicely. It had a cheap rope hat band that was glued on but I was able to surgically remove it with an xacto knife and replace it with a snake skin. This should make a nice northwestern Montana high-country summer hat  .
I’m looking to clean up this Stetson Grizzly. Any tips on the dos and don‘ts for cleaning a fuzzy hat or can I tackle this like I would any fur felt hat (typically a soft brush and diluted solution of Dawn dish soap)?
Thanks!
