Thanks Joe. It must have been a limited run as I haven’t been able to find another one like it.

    Post New Hats Here!

Here is a recent pick up that I haven’t been able to find additional information on. It was manufactured in 2011 and everything seems top quality. The fur felt is very dense and velvety soft. The liner, hat band, and sweatband seem to be superior to Royal or Royal Deluxe offerings of the...

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Thanks Joe Thanks for the info Joe. I was able to repair the button/cord connection. I had to shorten the cord by a couple of inches so the button ends up in a different position but it still looks good imho. :)

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

That’s a beauty! If it isn’t too much trouble could you post a shot of the inside and show any indicators of an early 50’s Borsalino? Thanks much!

OTHER THAN eBAY Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Great pick up! Is it a 6 1/4 or 7 1/4? That hand written 6 on the back of the size tag would be a significant deterrent.

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Thanks guys! Yes, the hat is minty except for the trolley cord button that fell off when I untangled/unknotted the cord. :-(

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Here is a recent find. The hat weighs only 95 grams and the felt is soft and can be dry shaped. I believe this is a 1960s hat based on the serrated label but would appreciate any input to the contrary. The hat circumference is 24” so it is a legit 7 5/8. Any clues as to what “SFINGE” means...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Akubra Snowy River was a good choice at the U of Montana homecoming parade today where it was 45 F and raining. My son was playing lead trumpet in his high school marching band and was sporting a beret. Go Griz!

    Post New Hats Here!

I recently picked up a pair of Byer-Rolnick San Antonio OR clones. The paper label inside the sweatband shows $11.95. I‘m guessing these are 50s or 60s?
