    The Cavanagh edge binding is a masterpiece. It looks like a welting more than a bound edge. The navy with the maroon sheen band and binding is 50's bling!

    The edge binding puzzles me. It looks like it reversed from the more common wide facing out with narrow edge on the rolled in top edge. Cavanagh, and maybe others too, have the narrow bound Hommies with top and bottom of brim edge is narrow.

    Am I reading that receipt correctly? 150 hats for $183 before the net 10 discount? That seems too low to me for 1937. $1.20 per hat. Likely retail of $5 to $7.50. I didn't think hats had that much margin.
