It is a handsome lid. Like to get open crown & brim width dimensions. I've put that band on other hat models, latest a Heritage Campdraft in Silverbelly.

To soften up my very rigid & new Vanson Enfield, I sprayed it with room temp distilled water & put it in the dry with very low heat & a pillow cover with 3 softballs inside.
It is quite noisy & softened up the jacket very nicely.
For my Premiere & Excellent Modern Stratoliners, I typically go with a center dent. A diamond is just an easy move from there.
As said earlier, each hat has a crease it wants to be in. Just listen to it....
Got shiny brass on Vanson Octagon which looks good but on my Aero FQHH I like the antique brass zipper & front chest pocket. The buckles are shiny brass though on the pull tabs.
That just assures I'll never buy an Optimo since I have had numerous refinished by them which is not going to happen again either.

Having exact same situation with a 150th Premiere Open Road. Jeff said he would be in Garland to check personally but no update...

My Raylan Tribute hat is a 4X Carson but I think the crown is too low based on all the looks I get of the original on screen. Who has the 6X Carson?
When I found mine, the model had been discontinued & all I could locate in leftover stock was a 4X. Not sure I'd paid the extra for 6X either.
