    JL custom m200

I never knew JL could add a sheen? Does it wear off quickly? does it make the jacket "extra squeaky?" I am very curious about this process and how it might look on an overdye jacket.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Come on over to the dark side of the moon.

nice! It says they apply a shine to it after the jacket is finished. I wonder if they can shine up the overdye?

    JL custom m200

JL has so many nice choices. It is hard to decide. Seems like they are branching out even more and getting different hides from different tanneries. Can't wait to see these new jackets start to roll in. (mine included)

    Dyeing Leather Succesfully DIY ??

I am always curious as to how the redye ages and wears. Does it rub off easily, revealing the original color? Almost like a teacore?

Most riders I know wear ill fitting cheapos. lol. I had a discussion with Langlitz about this years ago. They said the front of the jacket is too long if it creates a "bubble" when riding. They said a well fitting MC jacket should sit at the TOP of your belt line and NOT COVER your belt. I guess...

    JL custom m200

I am running into this issue. A bike jacket needs to be shorter in the front. If it is too long, you get a "bubble" in your chest area and the jacket wants to push up. Off the bike, and the jacket barely comes to the top of your belt. Almost feels like a belly shirt when off the bike, but when...

do you dare to commit to wear a single jacket for a month through all your waking hours?

Thanks J. The perfecto makes for a great riding jacket. Once broken in, they are easy to wear.

do you dare to commit to wear a single jacket for a month through all your waking hours?

Well, my @navetsea challenge is finally complete. It was a little harder than I thought. I wore the jacket for atleast 2 hours a day, but I would say I averaged about 4 hours a day. Over all I am pleased with the results. I feel the jacket is broken in and has lost it's "crispness." This new...

do you dare to commit to wear a single jacket for a month through all your waking hours?

@Monitor, That's kinda what I thought also. I thought they always got the leather from Italy. I raised a stink with them about taking the flag out of their HH jackets. The response I got was they import their hide. They said they get their steer from America, hence the flag. I am really not sure...

do you dare to commit to wear a single jacket for a month through all your waking hours?

I put it in the dryer after the dunk. I put it on "air fluff" for about 1/2 hour. It was wearable right after. It was damp around the edges for about three days though. You could probably leave it on air fluff for a little longer. I think it helped out a bunch. It was a little stiff after it was...

do you dare to commit to wear a single jacket for a month through all your waking hours?

It still looks almost brand new. Didn't you say this had the felt backing. I wonder if that adds to the break-in period. Maybe your jacket is heavier (lbs.)? Not sure. Looks great though! Just figured it would have some creases by now. Usually you start to see the "cuff" of the sleeve bottoms on...

do you dare to commit to wear a single jacket for a month through all your waking hours?

Don't give up. This hh was very resilient. It was not wanting to conform. I tried spaying it with a spray bottle and that had no effect. The water just beaded right off. I had to play hardball. Would love to see some shots of your 613!

do you dare to commit to wear a single jacket for a month through all your waking hours?

The 618 is finally starting to yield after the dunk. I think the dunk helped out a lot. It took about 3 days to FULLY dry out. Afterwards, it was a little stiff, but quickly started to relax. I have been wearing it for about 2 to 3 hours a day and also massaging and crumpling it by hand when not...

    Thoughts about fit?

I lost a few pounds and need to "upgrade" my jeans. I always thought jeans were jeans. Now I realize I have "dad jeans". lol. I always wore Levis loose fit for extra room in the thigh. Now that my squatting days are over, I really don't need that much room in the thighs. My problem is, I don't...

    JL custom m200

^ I have to get one for my RG. I had solo seats on all my other bikes. They are so easy to change if you need to take a passenger.
