@Monitor, You are absolutely right, the SD is a tank! I love seeing yours evolve. I hope to one day own one. After my order was rejected from Langlitz, I knew there was only one person to call for a heavily customized Perfecto style crosszip.
I would have a hard time choosing between your SD or...
I gave them a $500 deposit and waited in the que for about 2 months. I had a few calls and had all the details worked out. After all that, when it was finally time to make the jacket, I got a call and they said they are not willing to make my jacket and refunded my deposit. I was pissed they had...
I asked this question a few months ago. I have to agree with B. Zippers on the bottom tend to scratch things if you are not careful. I have a nice walnut rocking chair that I scratched with my Perfecto zips. Not a big deal, hardly noticeable, but it was MY chair. I would hate to accidentally...
I agree with you SinSir. That jacket is looking killer. The grain is starting to pop. Just my opinion from pictures, that leather looks so much better than that corrected crap they are calling competition weight these days. Thanks to you and your girl for the pics.
@SinSir , Thanks again for all your time. I am looking forward to your pics.
@Psant25 , Thanks for your input. I am actually looking for a lighter/easier to wear summer riding jacket. I have lost faith in Vanson comp. weight leather. It seems to have a heavy, rubbery, corrected top coat. The...
@SinSir, Thanks for the awesome comparison. I was thinking the X was more rare than the Z. Seems it is the opposite. The example I seen in pics of the Z reminded me of Schott HH. It looked very smooth and shiny. I actually like that though. It is looking like the X might be a tad better? I hate...
Thanks El Marro. The X150 is looking promising. I would have to say, it looks way better than the lifeless comp. That is a great looking jacket. I think the nickel hardware gives it a little more "edge."
Thanks for the great review Carlos. That is a beautiful jacket. I have a hard time differentiating between the 2 leathers. They both look very similar to me. I have ruled out the comp. weight for the most part. It has been very disappointing lately.
I am starting to think about a summer riding jacket. I am looking at the z150 and the x150. Anyone have experiences with these leathers? Any differences in weight, feel, grain? I was wondering if anyone knows how they will age or break in. I have seen very few pics of the Z. It appears to be...
Thanks for your opinions on the jacket. I know you have a few Lost World's. I also know you do quite a bit of serious riding. I always like to hear how a motorcycle jacket preforms in the real world. Your Ranger checks the box next to "cool factor." I wish Aero would at least offer an upgrade...
That buckle is a NICE improvement!! Nice touch on an awesome looking jacket.
How does the Ranger compare to your other jackets as a true motorcycle jacket?
I rode late fall, early winter in my Schott 618hh with no major issues. I rode in upper 30's to lower 40's with no drafts around the neck. I wish it was an inch or 2 longer in the back though, that was the main concern for drafts that I had. The 618 checks most of the boxes as a serviceable...
Awesome jacket Sinsir. I love the looks of the z150. Looks WAY better than the heavily corrected comp. weight they are using now. And 6lbs for a women's jacket is no joke. Hopefully we can see more of this jacket as it breaks in.
Jmax, Hope you still have the windshield to your king. We have to use them up here. All though,.... you might not have to find your windshield if you wear your J23.
