Have to agree. You've got to keep in mind that rents are extremely high here so forget about things like an army navy store. I actually think commercial rents must be untenable. I'm constantly amazed how many seemingly very popular restaurants close due to 5-20 year leases expiring and the...
Me too, a Speed Master with some extra length would be nice as my third jacket (which is what I've mentally set as the limit which I'm willing to own at any one time).
Tenjin thinks it will darken but I’ve also seen photos (and posted one here) where it fades to a grayish color. I like both which is why I went with the color.
Will do! The photo’s awful, will to get someone to take a better fit picture that also captures the color.
This is the JT01, they...
Thanks @red devil, @barnabus, @sweetfights, @jerez and everyone else that had interest! The jacket arrived and here's some details to help anyone else that might be considering a Tenjin. I'll try to take some better photos when I get a chance (the first photo is especially bad in terms of...
so are the economics for getting a custom length freewheeler just too horrible to contemplate? i’d basically consider their j-100ish speed master in black:

anything better to consider instead?
Yep, was just joking! Sad for me that I’d need to customize to get one long enough for me. Would definitely like a Shinki J-100 style jacket. Still annoyed the RMC fit wasn’t quite good enough for me.
i thought you’d never get better than your himel but you’ve at least matched it here.
i think freewheelers might allow for extra arm length. maybe i should look into that..... or just wait until my tenjin arrives later this week first!!
That jacket is particularly ill fitting but I think the style is an uphill struggle. Everything is rather round and unflattering. Certainly works for some people but I think it's hard for most people to pull off.
Still pretty new though (less than two weeks I think). Just wondering if there's any aged ones, seems like most of the worn posted jackets have been steer.
Someone referenced that Tenjin Works only use steer hides due to way they age/patina. Given it seems like a lot their jackets are natural it got me to wondering, has anyone seen a nicely aged natural horse hide jacket?
This perfectly encapsulates my feelings about shawl collar jackets. I'm surprised no one looked at that photo as they were putting it up and didn't think 'really? we going with this?'
Nice, that seems to be their most popular design. Tan is probably the way to go, it's what I originally ordered before a switching to cobalt blue in a moment of madness.... actually have always liked blue jackets so, although pensive, I don't regret it. Could see myself getting a JW03 in tan if...
