    I am not surprised to see this kind of wear. That's why some people ask for a corduroy stripe at the bottom of the liner. One good thing : a hole in the wool fabric is easy to repair for a seamstress and the repair will be at least as tough as the original fabric.

    I know that this post is quite old but I have weighed my newly acquired Lost Worlds ANJ4 (size 42) and it's 3.1 kg (6.8 lbs) It's lighter (100grams) than my Aero Barnstormer in Steerhide that weighs 3.2kg However The ANJ4 jacket feels a lot lighter than the Barnstormer when worn.

    how to repair tears in leather (horsehide oil pull)

    Leave it like this, I doubt it will get worse (the stitching is there to stop) Maybe a drop of oil to darken the leather fibers so they match with the outer color ?

    Vicenza leather in new Aero is inconsistent

    Same for my blue Vicenza board racer. Wear it : the patina will come quickly. After being drenched, the leather has darkened a lot and now it's more uniform. If you find it unbearable : contact aero, they are really customer focused and easy to speak with.
