I know, I know!! And I feel like I am letting Jan down by considering parting with it!!
But I just feel like the jacket is so incredibly awesome that it kills me to have it sit in the closet and not be worn......
Please see original thread that will describe this amazing jacket:

Please let me know if you have interest. The jacket is in MINT/AS NEW condition. Thus I wish to recover as close to...
I can't believe I am doing this, but I think am going to place this wonderful jacket in the Classified section. It is truly fabulous (thanks, Jan!), but I find my climate precludes enough opportunity to wear it. Perhaps someone else can utilize it?
Thanks
Holden
I am 6"1 and 200-ish (190-210). I went with a 42 that had "tighter turns" taken, which was allegedly to give a bit more room. I was concerned bc I wear a 43 suit.
I can tell you that the jacket is NOT too tight. I am not sure if I could have taken a straight 42...perhaps. I was just worried it...
I'm just interested to see how much play most have in their Aero cinch straps on arrival?? I have the 1930's HB. How do they decide how tight to make them when the jackets are manufactured?
How far cinched down do most folks have theirs?

I agree w/ the double leather over the corduroy. I think you will love it.
Jan had mentioned to me that the button cuff was *narrow*, so I asked Amanda/Vickie to make it a "little looser" given I have very large wrists/hands. I am having no problems, although there is not a lot of extra room...
I have corduroy in both the interior G1 pockets and handwarmer pockets of my 30's halfbelt. I was wondering the same thing regarding the *bulk* of all that corduroy. Jan is right, the corduroy is fabulous! I also asked Amanda and she said the corduroy will flatten a bit over time...and she also...
Jan,
No problems w/ my socks falling down. I have a tendency to wear white socks (i know, i know...) and they can get a little bleeding of color onto them...but that is my fault! I like them a lot. My first pair of this style.

Greetings,
I have this boot (Frye Rand Engineer):

Can anyone recommend a nice insole that might work in these? I just need a little more cushion/support, but don't want an insole that is too thick.
Thanks,

Just wanted to clarify that the entire jacket is lined w/ the Gabardine, not just sleeves.
I have had a couple questions about "what would you do differently if you ordered again..". Truly, Jan has this down to a science so all his ideas were spot on. The only thing I think I would do...
Super easy to slip on/off w/ the gabardine. Again, this is a JanSolo tip. I can't say enough good things about him. He was so helpful during the process of ordering this jacket. And I was equally as annoying I am sure!! I am a bit OCD about things, and he has handled me gracefully!

Thanks. Jan really is the brain behind it. The only difference from his I think is that I left off the throat latch.
I have been asked to post some pics of me wearing the jacket. I will get to that soon.

Dear Friends,
My first AERO (1930s Halfbelt) arrived just after Christmas:
Order placed Oct 18th 2010
Shipped Dec 22nd 2010
This jacket is a "JanSolo redux". I chose to go with most of his specifications from his recent jacket.

Oh, I didn't meant to imply I was unhappy. I guess the use of CAPITALS and *asterisks could be misunderstood as unhappy. No so. Actually my fiancee remarked on the back when I first put it on..."I like the back".
And I really don't know enough about all this to care. I relied so much on the FL...
I will try to get some pics up soon! The holiday season has been busy in the baby business!
Just FYI my jacket is almost an exact copy of Jan's fab jacket here:
