Doing as well as can be expected here in CT. Lots of people are getting vaccinated. Personally, It'll be a while before I move in that direction. I've got too many food and drug allergies that are at the top of the list for possible adverse reactions to take a risk. Maybe later this year. -

My wife and I went out for a hike this afternoon. 3.5 miles to get to a local waterfall here in CT. Stetson Pinnacle Mink color in the field today. -
Akubra questions
I've found that pulling out the piano wire inside the reed of Akubra hats helps them conform to my head better. Any molding or shaping that I tried always went back to the original shape because of the memory in the wire. -

I can remove a hat liner and get it clean with warm water and woolite. But getting the hat liner back into the hat and shaped right seems to elude me. Any suggestions?? -

I think a lot of the hat stores & makers are struggling to survive right now. As an example; I receive almost daily emails from JJ Hat's. They're offering 30-50% off on a lot of hats and a significant amount of their Stetson line of hats is out of stock. -

I received a few Amazon gift cards for Christmas. While surfing for something to bummuse them on, I found a Stetson Beaver Pinnacle in Mink color being sold by Delmonico hatter. It was the perfect use of the gift cards. It should arrive later this week. -

Akubra Overload
I don't have calipers handy, but the Heritage felt in my Banjo Patterson is considerably thicker than the Imperial felt in my Stylemaster. -
How many hats is enough?
10 hats total. A few if them are duplicates of my daily hats are in boxes. They're intended to replace my daily hats when they become "beaters". The rest are worn regularly depending on my mood, activity or clothing selection.
