Yeah its a little more for the '47, $1250 vs $1100. There are some interesting differences, but the older version is also slightly less practical? '47 Columbia pockets are angled differently and have a little less space, there is visible stitching for the pocket as well, sleeve zips are on...- Mrfrown

In the end I decided to get a new jacket with my Langlitz production slot rather than a vest. Going for a Columbia, removed the bi-swing back and with a squared-off bottom rather than the beaver tail. Sorta like the '47 Columbia but with the modern pocket placements, collar etc. Expecting...- Mrfrown

The excellent original found by @Monitor Seeing it lighted a fire in me heh It’s interesting to see what got changed in translation too…my collar is smaller, CXL has more shine, fit is much trimmer (plus that unfortunate crease along the back that’s not settling down like I thought it would)...- Mrfrown

Fringe jackets
Yep. Its in limbo at the moment. I'm leaning towards keeping it and having the sleeves and maybe the bottom hem taken up. Might possibly move it on and find one that fits without alterations...but not sure.- Mrfrown
