The size tag is the same but it was hanging literally by a thread, so rather than risk it being torn, I pulled the thread (did not have to cut it) and rejoined it with the other piece which was hiding behind the sweatband which is why it is now completely separate from the rest of the hat (and...

My apologies, I misread the age. Back then, being a millionaire meant something... although if I had a million now, I would still be happy :); think of all the hats! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks, good to know. This was hiding in the sweat as well. What does "O.P.S." stand for?

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Working from home today so no need to suit up. The new Mode Edge is perhaps a little too formal without a suit so went for a guayavera. I need to stitch the sweatbinding properly referring to @humanshoes helpful link. Whilst this hat is not as old or as nice as others I have seen in the...

Stetson Mode Edge. Everything is nice about it except the sweatband needs to be rejoined. Brim is just shy of 3" at 2-7/8 making it the biggest one I have. Open crown is 6". Colour is dove grey with black shark gill ribbon. Centre bash Diamond Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is what it looks like. Leather seems soft. I posted pictures of the rest of the hat in "new hats". I figure that I gently open the sweatband out and look at how it was stitched then work from there, at least sufficient to close it up until I can get to a proper hatter.

It's beautiful. Is the brim edge stitched, bound or an overwhelt?

Thanks to you and @RJR. I think that the leather is relatively supple, but will have a proper look tonight and post a photo of possible.

The stitching holding the sweatband (joining each end of the sweat, not the stitching attaching it to the hat) of a hat I just got is very loose/about to come out. I would like to stitch it back together rather than sending it off, but was just wondering if there are any tips or links to help...
