I disagree. My Journeyman is very unobtrusive and understated - I wear the coat, day in, day out in many different situations.
The quality and vintage styling have drawn the comments.
If the jacket wears you then I’m not convinced that you’ll get compliments...
I’ve had a couple of ‘nice jacket’ comments recently about my Journeyman. It’s cold and wet again in Somerset so it’s getting plenty of regular use during the commute.
Good to hear as it’s my go to jacket at the moment.
Freewheelers Journeyman in Jet Black deerskin, Old Town ‘Plains’ in navy blue moleskin, and an Old Town Canvey cap (once the cat had been persuaded to leave it).

Freewheelers Journeyman in Jet Black deerskin, Nigel Cabourn ‘Mallory’ waistcoat in fawn Harris Tweed, tan corduroy Stove Pipes and Canvey cap in grey wool (Old Town), RM Williams black Comfort Craftsman.

So, I now have this on its original leather fob...
That’s never a Cockpit of Southampton, is it? Looks very poor - with contrasting tapes and pockets?!. Possibly Cockpit USA? I’ve had several early Southampton ones (the Aviator jacket) and they were very good authentic replicas (better than Eastman and Aero in my view). One size 42 (1942...
