The closest you will get is the Alpha N3B which comes in black and has a removable fur trim...not the same quality level, but the Alpha is actually a good buy in my opinion.
Thanks Edward! The black colour scheme has really grown on me...although I would like an original sage green one at some point too! :)
Finding bigger Buzz stuff is a bit tricky, although as I've proven it is doable..the market feels like it needs a better mid range option for nylon jackets -...
I thought I would show you all my latest (used) acquisition via Japan. I found this on Yahoo Japan auctions for a steal, and used ZenMarket proxy service to ship it over to the UK (fantastic service, highly recommended!)
This is one which I didn't think I'd ever get! Finally, after many, many...
Those Jinruishi MA-1s and L2Bs look really nice for the money...I emailed an eBay seller who is also selling these and he recommended a 2XL based on my measurements.
I might give them a go! Anyone else ordered one previously?
Pretty cool CWU 9/P jacket for sale. Brand new with the tags still attached. Manufactured by Barc Industries.
Nylon exterior with a light polyester batting on the inside...can be worn either as a parka liner or as it's own individual jacket. Really nice versatile style. Real McCoy's sell a...
It's always the way isn't it, Gav? Damn this hobby of ours! :P
I'm of course open to sensible offers via eBay Best Offer if that would ease the burden somewhat ;)
Regretfully having to sell this jacket. Too many other bills have popped up recently, and the jacket is just a little too snug on me to wear with layers underneath, so I should have chosen the larger size when ordering. My loss is your gain!
eBay listing and full description here...
On the subject of racing leathers, I've been fortunate enough to acquire a few sets of genuine MotoGP leathers over the years through my connections to the sport...the most recent one (2013 season) was damaged when the rider fell off at 140mph+ during a practice session. I have no idea what...
I don't think the pricing for some of the Buzz jackets is that crazy when you consider the details involved. Real McCoy's on the other hand... ;)
I have honestly found myself gravitating more towards nylon jackets recently...they're just so much easier to wear than a lot of leather ones, but...
I always thought that the Buzz jackets would be too small for me, but when I was at the Eastman pop up shop last year I tried on a few. The slender MA-1 was - as expected - just hilariously slim and short for my 6'3 frame, but the chap there recommended the L2-B which apparently runs a little...
A quick update on my now frankly ridiculous N3B journey...
I found a pretty sweet Avirex Japan N3B for sale via Rakuten. There's quite a lot of cool stuff on there - including both real and faux fur versions of the N3B. I did place an order for an Avirex one, but communication and processing...
I recieved this a few days ago but sadly it's just too big for me. It's a real shame as it's a tremendous jacket that is in very, very good shape considering it's age. Real fox fur (?) trim is in great shape, same goes for the wool pile hood lining. Was dry cleaned in 2012 according to the tag...
My Diamond Dave B-15C Mod is arriving tomorrow! I’ve been waiting a good few months, very excited.
I for one am delighted he offers custom nylon - as I said, there’s no way I could wear an original with a 23 inch back length - that’s a good 4/5 inches too short for me!
