Has anybody bought one of these Greenbrier jackets? Looks like it has all the correct details and is made in the USA.
Suspiciously cheap though?

Interesting, I will enquire about that with them. Definitely looks more authentic.
That McCoys one is very nice - odd though how they don’t seem to include the roundel on the shoulder though. It’s an early MA-1 repro - I thought they all had the insignia on the shoulder? I’ve only ever seen the...
I notice that the SOF MA-1 seems to have the correct grey knits, not the sage green ones like mine. Interesting.
Perhaps these ones with grey knits are the ones to go for?
Oh, definitely. I don't think this would be a bad jacket at all in a size smaller, I think it would actually fit pretty well. I'm just a bit disappointed by the quality of the materials - I don't know if Alpha makes different grades of jacket or something, but I expected the nylon they use to be...
Oh yeah, I’m not keeping this lol. It looks horrendous! Should have put that in my review - it’s definitely going back.
Always liked those CVC jackets too, quite practical from the looks of things.
Just thought I'd throw this out there for anybody considering one of these jackets, as we've ended up chatting about MA-1s quite a bit recently, even in threads that have nothing to do with them!
I took a shot on this Alpha MA-1 from a UK clothing store where it was on sale for £85-ish. Usually...
Some lapels I like...
B&Tailor do some absolutely exquisite stuff - very Neapolitan, but with their own touch. I love the softness of the construction and lapel roll combined with a quite hard, straight edge and gorge angle. Looks sensational to my eyes.
Tom Ford's Shelton/Windsor block has...
The wider the better - I love wide lapels, notched and peaked. A wide shawl collar tuxedo looks fantastic too.
Being bigger, I find wider lapels suit me infinitely more than any of the current skinny trends. I was hoping that Tom Ford's influence on current fashion - i.e. wide peak lapels -...
Not my usual sale, but I figured this would probably be of interest to some members on here. Bought for my Dad, but sadly too small for him so I'm having to sell it on.
Beautiful Polo Ralph Lauren sports coat in a size 44R custom fit, so more like a 42R or slim fitting 44R. 55/45 flax/wool...
I’ve worn my new (to me) Buzz Rickson N3-B William Gibson edition every day this week, and it’s fast becoming one of my favourite jackets. I wasn’t sure if I would like the all black look, but I actually think it looks badass - like the evil twin brother of the green jackets. This is what a...
That was my thought too - later MA-1's have that greenish grey look, but the Alpha looks to be nearly silver. I've ordered one of their MA-1s in sage green for around £80, which I think was a good deal - we will see how it is when it arrives.
I messaged the eBay seller in China for those...
I've done a little detective work and uncovered a few more bits of information about our man - something is very fishy indeed.
I'm not going share the details on here, but I've messaged Alan directly - hopefully he can sort this out.
Something tells me whoever posted that listing is watching on here, because they ended the listing themselves voluntarily using the reason "there was an error in the listing".
If eBay had removed the item, it would show up as soon as you click on the link that said item had been removed, and...
Would you order a 2XL in that Jinrushi L2B? Assuming their measurements are accurate, I would probably buy it off you if it doesn't work out for whatever reason. Let me know if you ever do get one.
I think I'm probably going to at least try and Alpha MA-1 first...their standard MA-1 (not the...
There are a few pretty sweet looking items out of China I've seen though which I would be tempted to have a go with regardless..
Jinrushi MA-1, which surely is made in the same Chinese factory as Alpha? They like to publicise in the descriptions how the stitching and materials are as good as...
Bronson/Houston stuff looks very nice for the most part indeed. My trepidation with ordering from Chinese sites is mostly down to the difficulties in returns, which is a problem since I’m usually quite a difficult size to pin down!
It would be helpful is someone in Europe became a distributor...
