A great find and looks to be in great shape. The silver foil stamp seems to appear in early 20th century hats, often with poor adhesion which might have led to its demise as a material for foil stamping. It's a lovely thing to find one with the foil still intact. Congratulations!

The hat is described accurately - first decade or second decade of the 20th century. Two bidders were willing to go higher than $700 which is not outrageous in my opinion if you are interested in early Stetson hats. They do not come around every day.
