    I think you nailed it! That’s how I love cossack jacket styles to fit, snug and with shorter sleeves than most prefer. It is a beauty and I like that there’s not a button close to the collar, means you can flip it and give it your desired roll.

    I'm not the expert here but that is done in shoemaking and look at how long leather shoes and boots last and they get more abuse than any leather jacket will ever receive. Just because a maker doesn't do it doesn't mean it's a wrong method of doing it.

    That measurement is not strange to me to be honest. I have a few vintage jackets (Wool and Leather) that are meant to me that short. I have some with 21-22 inches. Certain styles like sports jackets, aviator, cycling, motorcycles are meant to be shorter than usual and this is on the shorter end...

    All of these jackets when new look "terrible" and when worn look absolutely amazing. The longer coats specially. Wear it in good health, get it worn in and then decide if you still have the same issue. If you don't get to the worn in stage you can't really judge I think.

    I don't think that jacket suits @Carlos840 at all. I have to agree with his gf here. Specially used to seeing him in those other jackets that fit him perfectly. It doesn't work with your overall style I would say.
