    Lexol or Bick4 for me. Also used Elephant Leather Preserver (Hint: Doesn't contain any elephant). I used once the vaseline and it worked but as Seb said it's a temporary fix. I feel that other conditioners do a better job for much longer.

    I like the lenght to be honest. Yes it will but the tougher the leather the less it will do to it. Some are treated to be "waterproof" and just a bit of water sprayed will do nothing.

    Definitely. Always better to apply 2 thin layers if needed. Until the conditioner is fully absorve and dry I wouldn't apply more and that's only if the leather feels dry still after that.

    Spray hot water on it evenly, it will make the grain pop up. Don't need to make it soaking wet.

    I would use something like Lexol Deep Cleaner which cleans leather really well (Dirt, dust and grime) and then when it dries use your regular conditioner. Saddle soap can be harsh on leather and stitching, at least that's what I've been reading and been told many times.

    Not really, during winter is fine the problem is that winter lasts maybe a month? It's like 15ºC during the day with the sun just melting you out in the streets. Mornings at around 7-8ºC which is not cold at all... I don't get how you guys wear flannel for so long, I was wearing summer weight...

    Don't you worry it will pass very soon. I was like that then all of a sudden I was buying the Himel Grizzly and then some mackinaws and then a lot more stuff. Thing is that I know I can get stuff for cheap so I don't bother anymore with expensive stuff and I learned that from the members here...
