What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

^ Twelve O'Clock High and a PBS British series import, A Piece of Cake top my list. Cake captures a RAF spitfire outfit flying prewar wooden propeller planes with guns incorrectly haronized at a longer distance. If haven't seen, Cake should be available and James Salter's The Hunters is a...

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

I personally prefer Tchaikovsky' Nutcracker; Shoshtakovich, Piano Concert #2; or Anna Netrebko singing Pucinni.... Bartender Edit: Please be reminded of the 'no politics' rule.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

William's character could be disbarred for witholding his marital state and charged with interference of justice; accessory after the fact-and if I watched this flick, betcha a false imprisonment, criminal conversation, inchoate assault, bribery, subornation of perjury, and a lota other stuff...

The Era -- Day By Day

As remarked earlier, there seems a marked leniency at trial court for espionage. Ms Ingalls recd 8 months, and that is for failing to register foreign agency, not active display criminal espionage. Perhaps the investigative team was a bit too quick to approach Grand Jury. Time and patience...

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

We are all mortals, all of us entirely too human. I almost became a priest, twenty years ago or so; betwixt circumstances, reconsidered an earlier decline (met a girl), and tendered a college degree and the experience maturity bestows, and anticipated twenty-five or more years service. Given the...

The Era -- Day By Day

Ms Meyer is subject to prosecutorial cross by taking the stand, which her defense chair elected to play for jury sentiment; otherwise she has no defense and is guilty of treason during war. A capital offense. There seems-as in the Brooklyn spy ring- a lack of teeth in sentencing. Considered...

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

^ A lovely colleen but I seldom watch television. Nigella cannot recall discover but exquisite Katherine whilst opera listening YouTube back at the office when I should have been working.... More than a few colleagues astounded by her beauty, and pneumatic charm; while I am drawn by her mezza...

    Favorite '30s and '40s photos?

Mario Puzo profiled Sinatra as a character in The Godfather, quite a womanizer in his time. Ava Gardner really got to him, guess he never got over her but every guy has an Achilles heel somewhere inside his heart and Cupid has been known to dip an occasional arrow in poison.

To beard or not to beard?

I had a beard that I let grow out until I had to cut it off. Used a razor, tough to shave earlobe-to-collarbone clean face, took a forty-five minute scrape to do it, but whisky tango foxtrot.:)

The Era -- Day By Day

A similar human being with Sandhurst is/was the late Mr Leo Durocher. Durocher had issue with Ernie Banks while managing the Cubs. Long ago I once made favorable remark a la White Sox to Ernie and got scolded, so I dropped any idea of bringing up Mr Durocher. Leo the lion was a ba***rd...

The Era -- Day By Day

Indeed. Facetious tongue-in-cheek. And earlier boilerplate polish of no account except amusement. Hocus pokus locus fate does place Normandie inside Chinese interior lines, however, she has a conscience as does Patrick Ryan, so they are free amidst war torn circumstances. Both bound by...

Airport Security - Fishtail Trousers Rear Buckle

^ I believe that vehicle is a MG and a six-cylinder engine probable 15 miles per gallon. My '94 Jaguar XJS convertible sported an India sixer for 15 miles a gallon. And the plate read Coventry, England manufacture. ...and I fibbed, I did change the oil, which engine required #4 Quaker State...

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

^ I feel the same nostalgia for the old torn down now LaSalle Street Station whenever I watch The Sting. I really get stung. And we're not talking lousy piss ant yellow jackets either but big ass hornet swashbucklers armed with laser stingers looking for a fight. I understand Ford's fix. I do...

The Era -- Day By Day

Tunis Quick quite literally got away with murder. His legal defense of not knowing his .22 rifle was loaded is nonsense-a rifle is always loaded. And he deliberately pointed this weapon at Ms Abbott then squeezed its trigger, killing her. Nor can he avail passion; frankly he should never have...

Forget the hoodie and shirt, I've been trollin' for Royal Navy sub sweaters and are they ever expensive. ...And talking about English product, caught a snippet on tele yesterday featuring my lovely English rose Nigella Lawson.:) ...but she's priceless.;):D

The Era -- Day By Day

If Connie strikes Tom she will commit an act of assasult and battery, and she has no legal defense; so, should a jury hear this mere passion will not fly; defense motion probably benched ditto. Thomas could pursue divorce with sufficient grounds citing cruelty and irreconciliables. She's...

The Era -- Day By Day

Particular disgust with the case of Congressman Orman W Ewing led to a brief legal search. Convicted of raping a stenographer, sentenced 8-24 years; appealed all the way to the US Supreme Court, cert denied.
